I LOVED the dining rooms on the Magic - especially Lumiere's and Animator's. Cariocas was just OK to me. We're going on the Fantasy in 2 weeks. Enchanted Garden looks beautiful! I think I'm going to miss the AP shows from the Magic. Crush looks cute but so far it doesn't look as impressive as the show where everything slowly changes to color. Which is your favorite MDR on the Fantasy, in both food and atmosphere, and why? Thanks!

In my opinion, the dining rooms on the Dream class ships are pretty much the same. Yes, Animator's is a bit more colorful and had the live drawing/Crush shows, but Enchanted Garden and Royal (Palace/Court) are basically the same to me.

As to the food, I don't really find that much variation between the menus on any of the ships. Just different menu art.

They are all beautiful in their own way , if I had to choose I would say royal palace/court , slightly more space between tables and beautifully decorated , all are nice though

Not in the sections I've sat in in there. The servers had trouble moving between the tables in sections where I've sat in there on the Dream and Fantasy. And on one Dream cruise, the dad at the table next to ours decided we should be tablemates and started talking to my dad. (I mean, he wasn't far wrong...I don't think there was 6 inches between the tables, but still. If there's a gap, we are NOT tablemates.)

Never had that issue in EG or AP on the Dream or Fantasy.

I think Enchanted Garden is beautiful, it looks like a park, but sounds like a zoo! :rolleyes1

We just got off the Dream, and maybe we had a great table (okay,.we did) but we liked Enchanted Garden the most bc of the atmosphere and menu. RP would be second bc it's a little fancier I guess, with an interesting menu. AP would be my most disliked MDR or any DR on the Dream Class (like it a lot on the.Magic class); I just find the atmosphere obnoxious and not interesting and borderline stroke inducing and I highly dislike the menu. My kids however like the Drawn to Animation show (on the Fantasy not Dream) and especially missed it not being on the Dream.

I love Animator's - on the Dream class ships I love looking at all the models and things. Always something new to discover!!

Me too. I also prefer the menu in Royal Court/Palace.

I'm wondering if mlayton was referring to more space between the tables in Royal Court vs Enchanted Garden. Not between the two Royal XXX restaurants.

But, even that being said, I find the spacing between tables in all the MDRs on both Dream class ships is thisclose.

I felt like I had slightly more space in EG than in either of the Royals on both the Dream and Fantasy. And yes, they are all ridiculously close.

I like Royal Court the best. I think it has the best menu and the decor is nice. Our tables have either been in a small room seperate from the main dining area, or against the wall so have not been in close proximity to other tables. I don't like the Enchanted Garden menu. Again we have been against a divider so not close to other tables. Animators is fine. Menu is ok. I like the theming of it, and looking at the different arty things around. I also like both Crush & the drawing. But that is the MDR where we have been really close to our neighbours.

I think you will find a range of opinions. We don't like the Royal Court menu much at all, but love Enchanted Garden (both the menu and decor). I will say that I like the AP show with Sorcerer Mickey on the classics better than anything they do on the Fantasy/Dream.

Royal Court is my favorite. I find AP too loud (background noise) so that is my least favorite. EG is in the middle for me

I'm a big fan of EG. Love the whimsical atmosphere. RC is fun for the more formal atmosphere. We always 'dress for dinner' just to really savor the experience and RC folds nicely into that. Still, I prefer EG. The AP video boards are ok the first time. The fifth time they want me to pull out what little hair I have left and attempt to strangle a computer graphic turtle :scared:.

I loved the atmosphere in Animator's the most because of Crush and the animated drawings. It was just fun and different, and my kids were so into it, we had the most peaceful dinner in awhile. My kids surprised me and loved EG the most - they loved the flowers opening and the lights changing. We were lucky enough to get one of the round booths there, so it was more private, too. The tables were practically touching in the other two restaurants. We requested and received our own table of 4, but we were basically seated with another family in AP and RP because the tables were so close. For us, we didn't have a favorite menu, and on the 7 day, the menu is only different 3 days. The rest of the days, the menus are the same in each restaurant. Animator's will have a slightly abbreviated menu on certain nights because they have to time the food to the drawings and such.

Old curmudgeon here but I've actually gotten to the point where Anamators Palette is annoying. The audio in there is cranked up way too high and it interferes with regular dinner conversation.

I like all of them, but I think AP is my favorite. The artist studio theming, Crush show, the Animation Magic show, and even the Pirate show all stand out as things I actively look forward to. Other than being pestered by the dining staff to stand up during Crush's pledge, I don't have a bad thing to say about AP.

EG is beautiful and I love the theming, though I agree that it feels a bit cramped. RP/RC is beautiful as well, and not nearly as cramped as EG, but I still prefer EG's theme.
