Which is the better time to go?

Beginning of May (sometime from the 5th to the 13th)? Or the end of May (sometime from the 21st to June 1st)?

If I had to choose, I would probably pick the early May dates, as the end of the month is a holiday. One thing to think of is that either day is usually around Star Wars weekends at MGM, so MGM is very crowded those weekends.

I have gone the first week in May and that was my favorite time to go!! Like the above poster said it is Star Wars Weekend so MGM is crowded but not unbearable. I have also gone the first week in June and it is more crowded than the first week in May. I vote for first week in May!!

Just on the weekends or during the week too? Since majority of my stay is during the week, I won't worry about that much. Star Wars weekend sounds entertaining though .

I believe the Star Wars weekends are Fri-Sun.

I'd go with the beginning of May. At the end of may, college kids are out and going with their friends...anything further away from summer is a good idea I think.

We used to go the end of May, but because of how crowded it had gotten over Memorial Day weekend, we moved our visits to the beginning of May. Much nicer - crowd wise.

I think anytime in the first 15 days of May is great. The weather has been excellent the last three years during this time of year. and we have found the airfare at the time to be pretty low (at least from NE area). Never experienced any crowds but perhaps we just got lucky regarding the Star Wars Weekend (for some reason i thought they were later in the month and continued onto the first two weekends of June now)

Mother's day weekend can get a little crowded so make sure you haved your PD's set. Its seems to be more younger children (5 & under set) then older

I think beginning is better for the reasons posted above and schools start letting out the beginning of June in Fl and surrounding areas. That and it probably starts getting hotter out. We were there in the middle this past May (12-19) and it was great. Our last day was the start of hotter weather, we just missed the heat and other events starting.
