which is the better deal? the new pin with 35% off rooms or free dining????

Hi, just wondering what I should do...should we book out august trip now (with the 40% off value rooms special) or wait until it gets closer to summer and hope the free dining comes up again...i think it will? Will the pop century rooms be sold out, or should I wait and try and snag a decent deal for the end of august as august draws closer????? Right now it's almost $3000 for myself, DH and 2 kiddies (this includes 10 day base ticket, meals and our room). Is this a deal????? oh what to do????

I would say go ahead and use the room only discount because they previously had Free Dining available during some dates in August 2011 on the Free Dining promotion which needed to be reserved by 12/20/10. So I doubt they will add any more Free Dining dates during that time.

I would book and lock in the % off room promo for the resort I wanted to stay at if it is available now. You can always change the ressie later if something better comes out like the FD that you want.

I did the reverse, I booked FD then just switched this week to the % off room rate when the new promo came out.

i would do what the others said and lock in your room only ressie. more than likely, fd will come out during aug/sept. it has the past year. this is definately the best deal! we've been on all kinds of pin codes, discounts, gift card deals, and the fd is hard to beat! good luck.

I may do my first solo trip to the world this August. That said, the 35% room discount at Pop would save more than free dining. If there would be more than 1 person going, then free dining would save more for the value hotels.
