I can't speak about the Disney Meal Plans, but I was a member of Connections for about a year and puchased/used the Connections vouchers for many of our trips. The different plans sounded great (Silver, Gold, Platinum) for food, activities, and all the extras, etc, but we were mainly interested in having some of our meals paid for. The cost of the Disney plans was obviously more, because you are getting more. With Connections the vouchers cost 11.25 each, and our meals each time cost at least a few dollars more than that amount, and most of the time we really saved a lot of money with the vouchers. I canceled my membership after a few years, however, I plan on signing up again and buying enough vouchers for my next trip, and then canceling within the one-month trial, and only paying $1. Just verify that they DO cancel your membership BEFORE the one-month intro otherwise you'll have to pay 69.99+.
Your best bet is to decide if you'll be using all the Disney plan's benefits; if you're just interested in the meals, the vouchers may be the better deal.
