Which is quickest to MK-bus or car?

We would like to get to MK in time for the 3 pm parade on our first day at WDW. We'll have a rental car, and will probably have some lunch at the food court at our resort (AS MO) before heading to MK. We also have evening plans, so the timing of transportation both to and from the park is an issue. Do we walk out from the food court after eating and grab the bus to MK, or would it be quicker to take the car? DH says if we take the car, we have to park, then take the tram to Transp and Ticket Center, then the Monorail to MK. I presented the idea of lunch at MK, but DH would like to sit a bit at the food court after we check in (about 1 pm). Silly man! BTW, we will have DD11 and DD1 with us.

The bus would be fastest to the MK, even from the All Stars. However, I think you're cutting it close if you are checking in at 1:00 and expecting to make it to the 3:00 parade.

If it was me, I would go straight over to MK after checking in and eat there to get a good spot for the parade. I agree with robinb about taking the bus. There are a lot more steps to driving to the TTC and you'll definitely be cutting it close.

When I go down I try to stay away from my car as much as humanly possible. After all, I'm on vacation!

Another emphatic vote for the Bus! You'd be nuts to take the car to the MK parking lots in outspace, then the tram to the TTC and then finally the monorail to the main gate. Best to take the bus right form AS Mo straight to the MK gates.

The bus will be MUCH easier!

Just go directly to MK on the bus and grab a bite to eat at Pecos Bills. There's tons of table space there and the condiment bar is great. I know your DH wants some downtime upon arrival but the chairs at the MK are made out of the same plastic as the ones at the foodcourt.
