Which is faster: FP Line or Single Rider Line?

My wife and I will be taking our 18 month old next month. I know all about child swap but there are certain rides only I will be going on that I have a FP for. My question is should I even bother using the FP for a ride that has a single rider line? Which is typically faster? Thanks!

I believe FP is normally a shorter wait in most cases.

For RnR and TT the FP line is usually faster. RnR can get a long SR line especially later in the day when only part of a group wants to re-ride. EE they are about the same. It depends a lot on time of day and the random number of parties with an odd number of people.

FP is generally still faster than SRL since you will see a lot of people using SRL if they do not mind riding without someone else in their party.

Now, if you cannot get a FP, then it would probably be worth getting in the SRL, for EE or TT, to cut the wait over the regular line, but RnR is a 50/50 on if it would be short or not for me.

I'm the only person in my party who rides RnR, TT, and EE so I use Single Rider every time for them. The longest I've waited is about twenty minutes for TT because the ride went down right before getting in line and backed both lines up. I've gotten lucky on RnR - each time I've gotten to the theater right as they were letting us singles in so it's maybe a five minute wait after the show part, but that isn't always the case. EE has always been the fastest - never more than about ten people ahead of me and since it loads a lot of people at once it went very quickly.

There are only 3 rides at Disney with single rider they are TT RNR and EE for EE you can see the line before you get in. For TT they have the wait time post out side. For RNR I have heard it normily take longer

Which ones do you have FPs for? Off the top of my head I know that I've breezed through the single rider line on Expedition Everest pretty much every time in 10 minutes or less.

I'm not a fan of RNR SRL, but for TT and EE I would not waste a FP if you have the opportunity to use SRL. The wait is similar to the FP wait.

I already have FP for RnR and EE. Hoping to get a single FP for TT at some point during stay as well. I guess if single rider line is short for RnR and EE, I can just go in that line first then use FP for a second ride.

Single Rider is almost always slower than FP. RnR and Everest especially can build up 40+ minute lines. It's deceptive too...you can get to the loading area immediately and then have to wait 30 minutes, based on the party sizes that happen to board while you're there. Test Track is a little better, because 4 or 5 person parties allow for 1 or 2 single riders in each car.

TT can be much faster than fp due to skipping the preshow room where you design your car. The last time we did fp it still was 20mn before we boarded and the posted single rider time was less than that. We had just missed the preshow room load.

I find the TT and EE single rider lines very efficient. For some reason RnR is almost never quick. Not sure if they don't use it as efficiently or what. There was even a sign at the start of the SR line last visit that said "Single riders may wait as long as standby for this attraction" or something like that.

We used a fp for Test Track once so we could be guaranteed to all ride together. After that, it was single rider only. Not a fan of the time suck preshow where you create your car. SR line bypasses that, FP does not.

In general, I believe the FP is faster than the single rider line.
I have done the single rider on all 3.
When I have done the single rider,
EE had usually been 10-25 minutes.
TT 20+ minutes
RnRC 15-20 minutes.
