which is closer to get to from GF...CCC or Shades of Green for car rental?

Have a ressie @ 1900 Park Fare , then picking up a car at either Shades of Green or CCC. Rate is a little cheaper at CCC, but negligible. I know we can walk to SOG from GF, but is there any kind of military clearance etc. that we should be aware of?

SOG is closer to the GF. I'm assuming you'll be walking from the GF to the Poly then crossing the street to the SOG and not walking along the road.

Yep. any reason to go thru the beautiful grounds of the Poly is with me! From what I understand tho, we can also call Alamo at CCC and have them pick us up at GF, and take us to CCC...decisions, decisions.

I would rent from the CCC....you never know about the weather.

Do you have a preference of rental agencies? SOG is Hertz, which would be my preference, while CCC is Alamo/National, but not a location where you pick your car, they asign one to you.

Hertz will pick you up and take you to SOG as well and then drop you back off if you drop the vehicle off there.

We used Hertz local edition on 192 in Kissimme just off property, the rates were way cheaper and they picked us up at GF.

It was much nicer than having to find a way to the CCC or any hotel that had a rental counter. When we returned the car they dropped us off at a hotel so we could catch a bus to the park since they cannot go thru Disney's tolls.
