Not sure what autograph sizes you are using but I just do the 4x6 size and put them in a cute Disney photo album from Big Lots.

Taking the above in account, when I was working, I did the printing at work on a laser printer with photo paper. Quick, easy, free printing just had to take the time to cut at home and they looked awesome.

Now that I'm not working, I've decided with the cost of good quality paper and color ink, it's cheaper to have them printed. I have Snapfish print them (matte) on their 1 cent a print deals or 100 for $5 deals. While I don't think the quality is quite as good as when I did them at home, the money and time savings makes up for it.

If I were doing pages that had little color or ink (like donatalie's vol 1), I'd print at home.

No problem. Just an FYI, if you do Snapfish, DON'T do the print at a store option. Not only will you not get the discount but I tried it at Walgreens once and they wouldn't print because the figures were copyrighted. Snapfish probably does such a huge volume it doesn't get flagged. I just printed 200 of Volume 2 and 3 from them (mixed in with some Christmas photos) and had no problem. Two books down, one more to go! :thumbsup2

EDIT: Snapfish currently is running the penny prints until tomorrow. Code is CELEBRATE300. Up to 300 prints for a penny each plus shipping.

Why not print them on card stock? Wouldn't printing them on photo paper make the autograph smear? I always print at home on card stock that you can buy at wal-mart. I set it up in MS Word and try to print as many as I can on 1 page for the size I want.

I've been thinking about that too I just haven't decided which way I will go yet.

I've done both 4X6 cardstock and 4X6 Snapfish prints, and I have to say I prefer the clean look of the photos. Be sure you request matte finish, and the Sharpie type retractable pens won't smear. If you buy when they're having a sale and find a coupon for free shipping, it comes out pretty darn cheap.

I have used Snapfish and Shutterfly many times with out issue. :thumbsup2

If I could caution you. Do not use Artscow. The quality is not great, they are in Hong Kong...long story short I had to cancel my card due to fraud.:headache:

I used laser photo paper because that's what we had at work and they were beautiful with a little bit of sheen but not much. And Sharpies worked great on them. The few additional cards I have printed at home I did put on Word and used card stock. They turned out fine as well. But with the cost of print cartridges, it's much cheaper (not to mention quicker and less labor intensive!) for me to have them printed out from Snapfish for $5/100 and they look pretty good. Like previous poster said, use "matte" finishing and a Sharpie retractable pen. No smearing at all. I did two self printed albums and 4 from Snapfish over the years and have not had any problems and have gotten many compliments from the characters and their handlers on the albums.
