Raiders is so far above the others it shouldn't need to be said.
The sequels are equally weak, but in different ways. Doom looks good and has strong action, but with questionable taste and crummy side characters. Crusade and Skull are almost identically jokey and self-referential and make no effort at building any actual tension or effective action sequences.
I agree with the consensus that Raiders and Crusade are the best two. It is close but I went Last Crusade. Temple of Doom is my least favorite of the 3. I hear there is a 4th and even have a ticket stub that says I saw it but apparently my brain has suppressed the memory for my own protection.
I loved all the first three! But, in order Raiders, Crusade, Doom all by a small margin. Doom was so strange and gory and funny. I really didn't think the last one was so terrible (I know, I'm in the minority). But it was fun and cute, though over done with the terrible CG effects. I've seen worse movies and I've seen better. Of course, I saw it after all of the terrible reviews so I was all ready expecting attrocious, lol.
1. Last Crusade (Harrison Ford & Sean Connery and the subject matter)
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark
3. Temple of Doom
4. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (went to the well one too many times)
I like them all, but I'm one of the few who has voted for Temple of Doom as my favorite . Maybe it was just the time of my life (age 13 or so) when it came out. I remember going to see it at the theater 2 or 3 times.

Temple was my favorite for years and years. I really enjoyed the humor in it. Ony recently have I decided that Crusade is my favorite, bumping Temple into second place.
