hello , this is our first disney cruise, and we are flying in to orlando the night before departure from port canaveral. i see the hyatt is on the airport grounds??? is this the only hotel to get the disney transfer from. or do they pick up from a particular spot at the airport? do you know of any hotels close to the airport that offer a shuttle to them and back to the air port???

The Hyatt at the Orlando airport is inside the airport. The pickup for paid cruise transportation (book in advance, $35 per person each way) is downstairs in the airport. If you can get there and you have it booked, you can take the bus.

There are several near-airport hotels that have shuttles back to the airport, like the Doubletree.

I have stayed at the Hyatt and it is nice walking to the hotel from the baggage carousels and having them take your luggage from your room and it appearing in your stateroom. I have also used of off-site hotels with shuttles. I just took an early shuttle back to the airport and got on the DCL shuttle. The nice thing about the off-site hotels is you can get one for half the price of the Hyatt and it includes breakfast. The Hyatt of course wins on being nicer and convenience.

I also really enjoy the Hyatt. We flew in the night before our last trip and will again this trip. It's nice to just get your luggage and be in bed a few minutes later without any hassle of transferring somewhere else. We enjoy a nice breakfast at the hotel and head to the buses with our day bags. Not moving the luggage again is another huge plus!

We stayed at the Hyatt the night before our last cruise. It was a nice room, and made the next day so much easier. We've already made changes to our next cruise to do the same thing :)

there is a Holiday In Express just outside the airport with a free shuttle to/from

We are staying at a Hampton Inn and Suites with a free shuttle next month. I had Hilton points so it was free but it also gets really great reviews on TripAdvisor. Like others have said, if you still want to take the DCL bus to the port, you can just hop on the free shuttle back to the airport and go from there. We are a group of 7 so we booked a private SUV limo for less that the cost of the DCL bus shuttle.

Huge fan of the MCO Hyatt here. Like others have said, very nice to get off the plane and just walk to your hotel. The less transfers you have to deal with, the better imho.

What time do you come in? Our flights arrive in the late afternoon and we like to stay at a WDW resort hotel to get in the Disney spirit the night before our cruise. Transportation to any of the Disney hotels is free from MCO. Then the next morning we use a car service from the resort to the port - with our family of four the cost is about the same as using the Disney bus and we can choose what time we'd like to arrive. We've stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter, which has a boat to Disney Springs, and will be staying at Art of Animation on our next cruise (mostly because my teenager is already annoyed by the idea of staying in a Little Mermaid room which amuses me).

If our flight arrived past dinner time, we'd stay at the Hyatt.
