Which Hilton would you recommend for 3 days of aight seeing.

Trafalgar hilton
Waldorf Hilton
Tower Hilton

Or any other suggestions or any Hilton brand. We need to use points for after our cruise

Thanks

That's a difficult one. It depends how central you need to be, and what you plan to visit.

There's a Doubletree Hilton just next to our office in Tower Hill which is good for Tower of London - and an easy District Line tube hop into the West End (with St Paul's on the way). Also, as it's in a back street (abeit a stone's throw from the Thames and tube/bus stations) there's not as much noise.

Also, cost will come into it with different Hilton hotels/brands charging a different amount.

Trafalgar Square can be extremely noisy and the traffic can be horrendous there. As a result, it's difficult to get around. BUT, it is fairly close to Covent Garden and a quick bus ride into the Regent Street/Oxford Street shops.

I can't answer for the Waldorf, as I don't really know where that is! If you want to do the museums, I guess you'd want to be centrally located in South Kensington; not sure if there's a Hilton there (or whether that is the Waldorf one).

They all seem OK and as mentioned by previous poster it will depend on what you are planning to see. Where ever you stay you will need to get transport for some of your sight seeing.

I don't know how facilities differ between hotels but I would choose the Trafalgar Square one purely on location and ease of access to tube lines and river transport. Near to a lot of theatres, restaurants and places of interest.

The Waldorf is in the Aldwych opposite Bush House. (I used to walk past it on my way to work and once saw the Australian cricket team arriving there.) Beautiful hotel but probably the least convenient.

There seem to be two Hiltons with Tower in their names so make sure you know which one you are looking at. I'd prefer the Tower of London one over Tower Bridge.

We really like the Hilton Green Park. Just down Piccadilly, close to Green Park tube station, walking distance to Regent Street, Leicester Square, Oxford Street, Buck House. It's a few Georgian houses made into a hotel, so it is a little quirky, but really friendly staff and good breakfasts. Oh and the cocktails were good in the bar late at night after theatre visits.

I would agree with the Hilton Green Park. It's a nicer hotel and location. I don't care much for the Hilton at Tower Bridge.
The Waldorf Hilton is in a fantastic location within Covent Garden. Covent Garden tends to be more upscale and upmarket clients and has fancier restaurants but you are only a short tube journey from Piccadilly Circus and Green Park area where you'll find a huge variety restaurants and pubs

if you are central - trafalgar, waldorf, green park - you are walking distance from lots of everything and tubes if you are feeling lazy

remmebr the tube map isn't 'to scale' so look on google maps.
the west end (soho/covent garden etc.) is small - it will never take more than 30 mins to walk anywhere.

tower of london is kinda more remote, its on the edge of the city (which is all offices really) theres lots nice round there - the tower, towerbridge, walks along the south bank (one of our favourite things to do is the walk from tower bridge to hungerford bridge (aka where the london eye is) along the river - you'll see loads. the tate, the globe theater, golden hind, clink prison, oxo building, southbank centre etc etc etc.

basically london is bloody brilliant

well i would say that wouldn't I
