How much more one sided can this latest situation get -- Israeli soldiers are standing guard on Israeli soil that is not the subject of any claims of controversial occupation. It is undeniably Israeli territory.
In the case of Gaza - Hamas backed terrorists dig a tunnel from a civilian residence (this is true to form for all Arab acts of terrorism -- conceal it beneath civilians with the hopes that if reprisals are made against the operation then civilians will be killed and Israel can be held responsible for their accidental deaths, even though the Arabs don't see anything wrong with killing Israeli civilians going about their daily business). The Hamas backed terrorists then kill two Israeli soldiers on Israeli territory and kidnap Corporal Shalit and return with him to Palestinian territory.
In the case of Lebanon - Hezbollah terrorists enter Israeli territory -- this is an act of war in any other part of the world -- and kidnap Israeli soldiers. Lebanon refuses to accept responsibility for this. Syria refuses to accept responsibility for this -- even though Hezbollah is funded by Syria and Syria still maintains a level of control over Lebanaon.
In neither situation did Israel do anything to provoke these attacks. How much more one sided can things get?
