Which Giordano's should I order from...

Alesia,

Just returned from POP.

We always use the Giodano's at the Formosa Gardens Village, 7866 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy, Kissimmee. Their phone number is (407) 397-0044. :woohoo: YUM!

Good idea! I added that to my Disney notes. We'll have to order that one of the days we are there.

Thanks!

Does anyone (Nutty Professor, perhaps?) know if/what the delivery charge is for Giordano's? What the minimum order is? Do they call you before arrival so that you meet them in the lobby? . . .how does it work?

Thanks!!!

One thing to remember, if you are ordering a deep dish pizza there, is to allow a one hour+ bake/delivery time.
Last time we ordered while at WDW we nearly drooled for an hour while waiting not so patiently- thinking about all that heavenly cheese...sorry, I need to go get a napkin.....;)

I don't remember if there was a delivery charge, maybe someone else will, but the delivery person called me back on our room phone # and told me they would be at the lobby in 5 minutes. I met them there and paid, and got lots of jealous looks as I took the pizza back to our room - at Boardwalk Villas.

Just had to add- in two days we will be back at the World with a rental car and we'll be eating at the Kissimmee location Wednesday night!

What a nasty horrible thing to do - to show a picture of a delicious pizza. That looks so amazing good. . .

:faint: Oh. My. God.

That picture just made the next 25 days seem sooo much longer.

Sorry, it seems like it's gonna be a long two days for me!

It tastes even better than it looks

I just sent that photo to my DD, she's mad at me 'cause now she's hungry.

I just called the Kissimmee location and asked- there is no minimum $ order amount, but there is a $4 delivery fee.

Enjoy your trip next month :)

And, by the way, that pic is my new desktop background. :rotfl:

Thank you for the info on the delivery charge/minimum order.

We only discovered Giordano's on our last visit (we had a car). . . having always patronized Pizzaria Uno's for deep dish pizza in the past. Loved Giordano's!!! . . .though I believe we went with the thin crust. . .

Making sure I have the phone # in my phone in case we get a craving!!! ::yes::

I like the thin crust at Giodano's too, last year on a trip with my DD and DSIL, they had the stuffed pizza and I ordered a thin crust. Needless to say we had pizza leftovers that lastest a looong time :thumbsup2

My other son-in-law is from Chicago and prefers Pizzaria Uno when in Orlando. I told him he was crazy!
I ate at a Giordano's in Chicago last year and the one in Orlando is every bit as good.

As a Chicagoan, I think the ones in IL are better ;) The sauce tasted a bit off in Orlando, but still decent. I seriously went to Giordanos at least every other week when I lived there... and that's my first stop when I go home for breaks. I get a big pizza so that I can bring some back to school with me! MmmmmM!

I'm wondering about the average cost for a thin pizza and the cost for a deep dish. Planning to order one of each on our AK early night and have a relaxing evening at the resort. Let the kids swim ... do a little laundry (DH's job) and does the pizza stay hot enough during travel?

Thanks for any info!

ETA: can someone recommend any pizza topping/filling suggestions? Good combinations you've liked in particualr from Giordanos. Thanks!

Thanks for reminding me about this place! I pass it on the way home from work (on 192), and I've been meaning to try it. I think this Friday is the day...

Here is a link to the menu -- in case you want to other other things to go with your pizza...the phone number is on the 2nd page, too...

I order from the one five minutes from my house frequently ;)

I was kind of surprised to see how much everyone loves Giordano's on here...it's been in my life since childhood and it's some of Chicago's best!

Try the spinach pizza...it's my fav :)
