I would like to take my DH somewhere nice on a date for his bday night while we are at the world. We will get a sitter, so just us!:cool1:
I really wanted CG, but there are only 5:45 and 9:30 ressies. MK closes at 8pm that day so I don't know if 5:45 is too early to be able to stay for Wishes or not. I also looked into Narcossee, AP, Citricos, and YS. Could you please vote on which you would choose or suggest something else. We are going to DHS that a.m. and having lunch at 50'sPTC, w/o hoppers, so it can't be anything inside a park. Thanks for your help!

Hi, I saw this special on the Travel channel some time back that showed a dinner for two at GF with a private table somewhere down by the water and your own personal server. I think at the time it was around $200. You probably could call the GF and ask about it. Also, they have a boat you can rent out and have dinner on from there called the Grand I. I haven't done it myself, but it looks great.

California Grill has gotten the reputation for having good food, but it has also become very noisy and not so traditionally romantic. Romance is what you make of it and I personally think t hat eating a hot dog from Casey's with a view of the castle with just my DH can be pretty romantic. (It's about who you're with more than where you are :goodvibes) However, being that it's date night away from the kids - once you get past the "Thank God that's not our kid" California Grill could be too much of a reminder of what you're getting away from that night.

My vote from your choices is Jiko. It has a very quiet romantic feel to it, and is our go to restaurant for adult night every single trip. I wish V&A were that for us, but at $125 a head it's not in our price range to be a go to restaurant.

Narcoossee's is nice, but when we went for my birthday it reminded me of Red Lobster with nicer flatware and a much prettier view. However, Narcoossee's would be my second recommendation.

I agree that CG is a bit noisy for a truly romantic meal--though as the poster above says, it's all about the person next to you. Still, CG is the MK of the signature restaurants--everyone wants to go there.

I do love Jiko, and that's a great recommendation. However, I voted for AP. I love the menus at both places, and the ambience and service are fairly equal, as well. That being said, in my experience, AP has been an easier ADR to get, and it's even quieter than Jiko's. If you ask for a window seat, it makes the experience even better. After the meal, stroll around the WL grounds, take in the geyser, sit on the beach and watch the Electric Water Parade (you can even see the MK fireworks, though admittedly not the low-level ones), take the nature trail that winds behind the bike shop. It's simply lovely at WL, and AP is one of the top restaurants at WDW. That makes for a great combination.

We had the SWEETHEART dinner at Artist Point and it was THE best meal of our last trip!! EXCELLENT food, AMAZING service (ask for Izzy) and the resort Wilderness Lodge is just gorgeous. Can't say enough about this Signature meal! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thank you for your responses. What is the Sweetheart dinner at Artist Pointe? AP may be a good option so we can check out WL. We have never stayed or eaten there.
