We want to have a more upscale dinner on our first night at Disney. We've been to California Grill and Victoria and Albert's before -- loved both, but would like some recommendations of other good places to try:
Narcoosess (sp?)
Jiko
Flying Fish
Blue Zoo

Any opinions?

JIKO!

Even DD12 loves the place!

The food is fabulous! The atmosphere outstanding! Plus you get to visit AKL!

Naroosee's was nice but, CITRICO's at the GF without a doubt is mine and DH's absolute favorite of all the rest's in WDW! Great service & atmosphere and the food is just out of this world!

2nd choice to Citrico's would be the Yachtsman steakhouse -- the bourbon steak is wonderful!

HTH's

Victoria and Albert's and California Grill are my favorites. But Jikos has excellent food. I also recommend Citricos. I heard Bluezoo is great (I love Todd English's restaurants) but haven't tried it yet. If you feel like venturing outside of Disney you might want to consider Emeril's at Universal's CityWalk, Tschoup Chop (an Emeril's restaurant) at Universal's Royal Pacific Resort, or Norman's at the new Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes.

Happy Eating!!

Of the 4 you listed, Jiko's would be my choice. Dined there our last 3 trips and wil do so again in Sept.

Jiko, Flying Fish or Artist Point..all excellent.

I would say Blue Zoo also..sounds great..we haven't been up to try it yet. Can't wait!

All five of us are adults and all are adventurous eaters that enjoy Indian, Thai, etc. -- except one person: my Dad. But I would love to show my sister AKL -- she's the only one who didn't go on our last family trip to the World and we are not staying there this trip. I would love for her to see the hotel and I bet she'd like Jiko. Can Jiko please a meat and potatoes humbug like my dear old dad?

K-wa, my DD loves the Fillet Mignon but will not venture to try the Mac and Cheese that they serve with it or the delicious sauce.

She orders it with Mashed Potatoes and the sauce on the side! Can't have anything touching each other on the plate!

They are very accommodating there, and if you want great service ask for Sally! She explains everything and is very knowledgeable.
