which epcot restaurant would you suggest?

Hi everyone, I don't post on the boards often and haven't posted for a while but I read them all the time and find all the info helpful and fun. My family and I are going back in April 05- doing the land and sea deal. My dd 10 wants to eat in one of the countries, ds 8 will also be with us. What would be some suggestions for restaurants that kids might enjoy? Thanks for the input- Kitchenfairy

We have two DD's, 7 &9. They had a blast when we had lunch at San Angel Inn in the Mexico Pavillion. It's a little pricy but the atmosphere is great, you get to see the boats go by.

My kids love Le Cellier in Canada, as well as Rose and Crown in UK. We tried Le Chefs de France last April and none of us were impressed. We've also "snacked around the world" -there are lots of great counter service things to eat in Epcot- our favorites are the fish and chip stand in the UK, nachos in Mexico, sandwiches in Norway, pastries in France.... yuummm.... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it

My kids had a great time in Japan. They cook the food right at the table, like in Benihana's, and the chef put on a great show.

Our kids (now 9 & 13) favorite restaurant in WDW is the Teppanyaki in Japan - where they cook in front of you.

Other favorites are - LeCellier (Canada) and San Angelo (Mexico). Last trip we did a lunch in Morocco with the belly dancer and it was very good also.

Our favorites our the Rose & Crown and Le Cellier. Chefs de France used to be a favorite but we weren't that impressed either last time.

We are planning to eat a late lunch at Teppanyaki on our next trip. I've never been to any of the sit down restuarants in WS yet. -Stephanie

Our family loves Teppanyaki's. We go there on every trip. Good food and lots of fun.

I loved Rose and Crown and Teppanyaki's(I got a kick out of watching the cheif flip knives).I also like the fish and chips(aka fries) stand

Tried Rose and Crown, ok but not their fav.

Next time, trying Marakkesh.

I agree with snackin' 'round the world! I'm a big fan of that (as well as drinking around the world, for those who wish to imbibe). I think its a great way to get a taste of every thing!

Thanks everyone, and Thank you Danny1649 for moving my post to the restaurant boards! I think the kids would like the chef and his fancy techniques in Japan but I'm not sure about the food. I'm not sure I would like the food! Is the food kid friendly? Will definitly try fish and chips in UK this time. The food was perfect for my kids as they like grilled meat. My DD ordered an adult combo meal (she is 11) of steak and chicken, it came with white steamed rice, fried udon noodles and the veggies (zuchinni, mushrooms, onion). My DS ordered a kids chicken meal and I shared steak with him. Both kids had a fruity kid drink with umbrella and fruit chunks. My one concession was to bring in some ketchup which I had saved from our lunch at the Plaza Rest. in MK (they have the individual mini bottles). Basically my DS will eat anything with ketchup. Our chef gave him quite a ribbing about having snuck in "contraband"!

Is the chicken in Japan fried? My DS4 will only eat breaded chicken. I know, I know this my fault. Too many Happy Meals!
