Hi Disney foodies,

I'm trying to decide which restaurant to book for my celebration following completing Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge in January.

Here's what I'm trying to decide between:

Norway- What better than to be made to feel like a princess

Italy or France- My cheer squad and I are all wine connoisseurs. (I've done the EPCOT wine walk and we will most likely do it again). I'm leaning against Italy as I will probably be tired of pasta after carbo-loading for the race and we had a bad service experience in France (for you podcast listeners, similar to Kevin's experience at Rose and Crown) in 2005.

Germany- Buffet and I love me some Becks and German wines.

So which would you choose?

As far as other food plans go, we'll be doing mostly counter service and either breakfast at Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare.

Last Nov we did the buffet in Germany and I was pleasantly surprised with the variety and quality of the food served. We also had hit the seating timing well and got to see a short show.

I've done the Chef's de France and loved it. Bummer that you had a bad experience there.

Have you thought about Teppan Edo? Excellent food and entertainment!

We're big fans of Biergarten in Germany. We also like Coral Reef, but I think Biergarten is more of a fun atmosphere. We love the German beers, saurbraten and the sing-a-longs ("Ein Prosit" - zicke, zacke, hoi, hoi, hoi). :thumbsup2

After this year's marathon DH and I ate at WCC and DH loved that he could eat all that he wanted after 26.2 miles of running. Especially since by the time he finished the race got to POR showered and got to WL he was STARVING. Therefore I would suggest Germany, that way you can make sure that you get all you want to eat!!!! Also you can hang around for a while snacking drinking and listening to the band which is a lot of fun. DH and I loved the food and both thought it would have been another perfect post marathon restaurant!!!!!!!! This year we are going to try to make Boma for the breakfast buffet, maybe it will encourage DH to finish sub 3:20 again!!!!!!!
