Which Emeril's would you rather dine at: Tchoup Chop or Emeril's Restaurant Orlando? Anyone done both?

Everyone on these boards raves about both restaurants but it depends what you like. Tchoup Tchoup has an asian influence where Emeril's has alot of his best recipes.

Thanks Spidey! I can always count on you for a quick answer, you must be on the boards as much as me! By the way, I just made ressies for RPR, booked flights and changed my countdown - can you tell I'm excited?!!;)

They're both actually pretty good. You might want to do one for lunch and another for dinner. I don't know if you can handle two good meals, though. :)

I am obsessed!!! My wife laughs. I LOVE Universal. And the funny thing is I live 30 minutes away. But we don't go often because we like to splurge and stay onsite for a 4-5 days when we go and it makes it more special with the anticipation and such. Our next trip is scheduled for next year. WAY too far away!!!!

I live on these boards so don't worry. If I can't help, someone else will. Everyone here is so great.

I would go to either restaurant, but to add to Barry's post, you may want to do lunch at one and dinner at another, but make ressies early so you get the days and times that you want and also be prepared to pay top dollar. I believe they are the most expensive restaurants at Universal with the exception of the restaurant at Portofino. (Sorry forgot the name)

Have an awesome trip!

By the way, I noticed on another post that you stayed at HRH. What did you think? We are planning on going there for our next trip. What type of room did you have?

You are going to love RPR. We enjoyed it there very much. Let me know if you have any other questions about the resort.

Spidey - I'm sure I'll have lots of question - I'm just getting started! LOL When we drove past the RPR on the way to the HRH, we thought it looked gorgeous. I still can't believe hubby said yes to this trip, he is probably like your wife - doesn't really understand my obsession, but goes along with it to keep me happy ;)

I loved the HRH. We had a pool view and it was gorgeous. I never even asked for a pool view, just got one by luck! We stayed on club level and the room was great, beds are so comfy, my DD -5 couldn't get out of bed in the morning. The pool was a blast, and it is shallow, so you can sit and have a drink and watch your kids without worrying about them going in the deep end. My DS - 8, loved the slide, and I thought it was great fun too. DD is a tiny little thing and she got twisted around once in the slide, so she gave up after that.

The path to Universal from the HRH is gorgeously landscaped. The music at the HRH was there, but never intrusive. Obviously, we had a great time, we haven't even been home a month and I have already planned a trip! LOL

I have found so much help on these boards, everyone is so helpful. I have made ressies for Emeril's Restaurant Orlando and will make one for Tchoup Chop as soon as you can online - their internet access isn't working right now. But I don't think I can do both, DH might have a heart attack about the prices! I will just cancel one once I make up my mind.

If you have any HRH questions, just ask! Thanks for all the help :)

I am still contemplating HRH club level. It just doesn't sound as appealing as the other resorts. The behavior reports have been less than positive.

If you have any questions, please let me know as I will you since you stayed at the HRH.

Have a great trip!!!!

I can't help but be excited for you.

I say one for lunch one for dinner also....I would do Tchoup Chop for lunch, since the lunch/dinner menus are pretty much the same.

Emeril's for dinner.

Or, whatever you can get reservations at.

Both are really wonderful. We really enjoy the Tchoup Chop atmosphere...the place is just beautiful day or night!

I made the reservation for Tchoup Chop for November 9th. They had almost every time available. Now, my only decision is if I should keep Emeril's Orlando, Tchoup Chop or both - One Sat. one Sun. I don't want to send hubby into shock, so maybe I'll just keep Tchoup Chop - it sounds fantastic. Thanks everyone for your help!

We did both and if I had to pick one over the other I would eat at Tchoup Chop. If you can swing both great if not Tchoup Chop is a great choice. Hope you enjoy it! :)

Haven't been to Tchoup Chop as my DH doesn't like Asian food. We have had both lunch and dinner at Emeril's and it was fantastic both times! Plus the menus were totally different for each. Lunch was MUCH cheaper though.

But, we made our reservations about 3 months ago for our October trip-- can't go to Orlando without an evening with Emeril!

It's a special occassion!!! If you can do it splurge!!!! You will love the restaurants and each is so unique within itself.

Thanks Spidey. I'll probably keep both and see what we feel like on those days. I'm just glad I got the reservation part over with - stuff like that stays on my mind until I take care of it!

We are going to Tchoup Chop on November 13th! My partner saw a show on it on the Food Network and wanted that one over his other restaurant.
Can't wait!

Tchoup Chop, hands down. Especially if you're staying at RPR.
Wandered in for lunch in late May & it was fantastic. Recommend ressie for dinner tho.
Nice & laid back when we were there.
