Which Dyson to get??

I am torn between the dc14 animal and the new dc17. Anyone have any experience or opinions to share. TIA.

Actually, you might want to check out consumer reports. The Dysons did not rate that high. I wanted to get one until I read that.

well, I don't know about consumer reports, but I got mine after I saw my friend's house. She has 2 cats and bought the DC14. WOW, her house was practically cat hair free! So, I saved my pennies and got myself one. I've got 3 cats and it has made a huge difference. I swear, that thing is sucking up dust from the downstairs apartment!

Depends. If your cleaning carpets. The Dysons aren't much good at agitation. Go with another brand. I ended up with a RICCAR.

If it just bare floors (wood, tile etc.) then just go with the DC14. Cheapest possible. IMHO they are way over-priced. (I bought the DC17 before I got the RICCAR btw)

I love the Animal. If you have pets, every time you use it it seems like you get enough hair to make a new pet.
