Which of these three would you pick and why?

Just as an FYI, I didn't include Cap'n Jack's or Fulton's Crab House because I'm not too fond of seafood (which my poor bf complains about all the time...but hey this dinner will be for MY birthday...he gets his later in the week!!!). I also left Wolfgang Puck, Rainforest Cafe, and House of Blues off because we can go to any of these restaurants in Chicago. Planet Hollywood would be a plus because we have tons of free appetizer coupons (leftover from the admissions office of my university after PH closed down here in Chicago) but the menu isn't that exciting.

The food is not exciting at Planet Hollywood either. I would go to Portobello Yacht Club if it was my choice, however DS and DH would pick Planet Hollywood. It is a fun place to dine and not expensive.

With those three choices, you definitely need a "none of the above" option!

Yeah I'm not particularly excited about any of them myself I guess except for maybe Portobello. We've dined at a Planet Hollywood before so we know the food is okay but nothing out of this world. I have been reading alot about Boma but my boyfriend would rather eat dinner at DTD since we'll be going to DQ and then PI. He's big on making things "convenient" and somehow thinks we'll be running around if we eat at one of the resorts rather than DTD. ;)

I agree with none of the above....but I haven't tried Portabellos, so I would choose that.

Portobello YC is highly underrated. I never hear people talking about it, yet they have outstanding food.

If I have to choose between those 3 then I would say Portobello... I haven't eaten there in about 3 years but we have been there quite afew times and always enjoyed it. It can be pricey but what really isn't down in the "world"... Have fun.

How come no one has mentioned Bongo's? We ate there in 2000 with 3 children and we really liked it. The service was excellant and out waiter was great with the kids.

We ate at Portobello in January - it was aweful, especially the service. I was so ticked off that I wrote a letter to the management when I got home [which is VERY unlike me], & they never even acknowledged it. They've lost a customer forever!!!!!
