There are so many new disposable baby products on the market that I haven't tried. Frankly, I'm too cheap to use them around the house but am wondering if any of them are worth getting for Disney? My youngest will be 22 months when we go, so he won't be a tiny baby, but he's still plenty messy :D

I'm definitely going to get those disposable table liners I've seen mentioned here, and a package of Bibsters (disposable bibs).

Anyone use the disposable washcloths? Seems like they might be handy to take into the park for a post ice cream cleanup.

Any other suggestions of useful products? What do you do for a toddler still using a sippy cup? I'm hoping to get him to use an open cup before we go, but we're not there yet.

baby wipes are good for travellers of all ages, not just babies/toddlers... i always carry them...

perhaps rather than encourage your ds to use an open cup, teach him to drink thru a straw? most drinks at wdw come in cups w/straws, not open cups... another option is to use a water bottle w/the sports cap, kinda like a sippy cup but different, and you don't mind throwing it away!

other disposable or travel-friendly products... hmmm... does your little one still use a pacifier? if so, one of those "leashes" is a must have item (we saw a few pacis in odd places like parking lots, rest room floor, etc)...

be sure to have some sort of identification on your little guy too... there are a few different ideas here on the boards (bracelets, necklaces, something that slips on the shoelace, permanent marker on the upper arm, etc)

that's the best i can come up with... i am sure others will have add'l ideas for you!

We are planning on taking disposable:

-Bibsters
-Table liners
-Changing pads for changing tables
-baby wipes (I will use those to clean hands and face too)
-I am also keeping any spoon/fork packages that we get at fast food restaurants so I will have a spoon or fork if my son wants one of his fruit bowls or something and then I can just toss it.

Unfortunately, we will have to take sippy cups (we do get those that you can keep or toss - it is the only kind that my son will use). He absolutely refuses to use a straw. I was hoping he would get the hand of it before November but so far no such luck.

I'm gonna bet those were mine! We lost THREE binkies in one day in Epcot. Thank goodness it was our last day there beacuse he lost every single one I'd brought!
They do make disposable sippie cups. I brought the bibsters with us and hated them. I wound up using one of those plastic bibs and just using a wet wipe to clean it when we were done.
I'd also take a wet washcloth from the hotel room and put it in a plastic bag and use it for cleaning messy hands and faces after a meal...

We buy the take and toss sippy cups and forks and spoons with us from The First Years. They are so nice to have and are not expensive so you don't feel guilty throwing them out. The sippy cups were great for milk because who wants to wash out cups that have had sour milk in them all day. They work really well and don't leak. They come 4 in a package and the forks and spoons come in a 12 pack. We also used the disposable bibs, and disposable changing pads by Huggies so we didn't have to carry a big diaper bag with us. What worked really well for us was to make zip lock bags up with wipes, diapers or pull ups, disposable changing pad and those scented bags to put the dirty diapers in. We would keep the zip lock "diaper bag" at the bottom of the stroller, and didn't need to bring a heavy diaper bag! We would also use another zip lock to put snacks in and the disposable table liners, disposable bibs and the take and toss sippy cups and forks and spoons. The last zip lock bag was an extra change of clothes for my daughter in case she needed them. Each day at Disney we would fill up the zip locks from our room and just throw it in the basket of the stroller. Worked very well for us, and we didn't have to worry about carrying a diaper bag around and worrying about someone stealing your stroller or your bag.

I would just wear a fannie pack to keep my camera, and money and tickets in and we were all set to go!!!

Hope this info helps!!!:wave2:

I am the ziplock baggie queen! I put toddlar size amounts of snacks in them... whole outfits for the kids, including socks, in the gallon size bags.... a place for everything and everything in its place....

one of my sons has really sensitive skin so what type of bath soap we use is an issue. I usually bring those disposable washclothes with us when we travel. That way I don't have to pack another bulky bottle of liquid stuff to worry about spilling and I know he has bath soap that won't make him break out. I just take it out of the box and put them in a ziploc to take up less space. :) They would probably be great for "heavy duty" clean up in the parks too, you just have to be in the bathroom with access to water.

I too make up diaper change packs. I put a couple of wipes in a sandwich sized ziploc and the put that, a diaper and an antibacterial wipe into a gallon size ziploc. That way when it's time to change him, we can just grab that "kit" and go rather than digging through a diaper bag to find everything. If the diaper is stinky, it gets put in the gallon size bag to be thrown away. My son is 2½ now so I don't usually bring change pads, I change him standing up most times then wipe his hands with an antibacterial wipe when we are done b/c he has usually touched everything in there he can reach while I'm changing him.

I bring disposable sippy cups too. With bottled water and stuff in the parks, my kids just use those Mickey bottle toppers with straws and do great with that. I use the sippy cups for non-bottled drinks. I brought he disposable utensils on our last trip thinking the toddler sized ones would be better for them but to be honest, we didn't use those much. Regular plastic utensils worked just fine.

One thing that came in really handy for us, which i didn't see on this list of must bring items, are the sanitary wipes from Johnson & Johnson, they are antibacterial disinfectant, but safe for babies. We never go anywhere with out them, we used them to wipe off highchairs, table tops, and they are safe for infants, so if you had to wipe off the babies hands you could also use them. Babies are constantly putting everything in there mouths and we don't go anywhere with out them. When she dropped her cup, pacifier's etc, we also used them instead of trying to find a bathroom, they come in a round container sort of like baby wipes.

I really like the idea of not having to carry a bulky diaper bag. Thanks for the ziploc baggie ideas!

The only thing disposable that I have gotten use to using is the First Years disposable spoons. DS is really good at not making a mess when he eats so I don't use a bib on him yet (he's 1). Actually, I think I have only used a bib on him maybe twice since he was born.

The wipes the my DS and I like best are the ones that come in the tube. I get them at Target and there are 40 of them for $149. That way all you have to do is pop the top and pull one out. Not worrying about using the expensive ones on their hands and faces.
I then have a carrier for the diapers that is a changing pad, diaper holder and wipes case all in on.
I used to carry wash cloths, but when I found a few 'nasty' one at the bottom of the diaper bag I called it quits. The tube wipes I have found to be a life saver.

The thread on changing tables has made me think about starting to use the disposable ones. However, does anyone know where to purchase ones that come in a larger package? All I have found are the Huggies that are 4 in a pkg for $2 something at Wal-Mart. I have done some searching online and found the ones that are for the changing tables in restrooms but they come in a bulk amount of 500 for $39.50 and up. I don't know that I would ever use that many. Although it is much cheaper to buy that amount in bulk. I guess I could give some to family and friends to use.

I say, that is the most expensive "wipies" I've ever seen ::yes:: :teeth:

Great ideas w/ the zip lock bags. I will have dh look @ them & see what he thinks for our upcoming trip.

* Disposable Table Top Placemats http://www.tabletopper.com/ I Loved these!!
* Bibsters Disposable Bibs
* Antibacterial Wipes - I like the individually wrapped Wet Ones for Kids
* Flushable Wipes for the Bathroom
* Ziploc Bags - use thoes for everything from snacks to spare clothes to a dry place to store the camera if it rains etc.

Some of these are repeaters, but I'll put them on anyway so you can see what's most popular among everyone:

**Tabletoppers - love these things!!
**Disposable bibs (Pampers)
**Disposable forks/spoons (the 1st Years) - The Target where I live just had packs of these on special for $1. Can't beat that!
**Straws - At Big Lots, they sell a package of bendy straws that are each individually wrapped. These are great for throwing in the diaper bag and not having to worry about getting dirty. Plus, most restaurants (not sure about WDW) give you regular straws and my 23 month old just makes a mess with those.
**Cascade dish washing cloths - great for washing sippy cups at the end of the day
**I also do the diaper items in a ziploc bag and leave them in the stroller. This helped tremendously on our last Disney vacation and it's nice to have everything you need in one place. Especially if dad is doing diaper cleanup and doesn't have my diaper bag with him.
**Wipes - I use these instead of washcloths while on the run
**Wet Ones in travel size packs - great for a quick hand wipe before meals/snacks.

Just got back and we used a bunch of disposable items.

* J&J washcloths
* Silverware
* Small (40 count) of Huggies wipes, have disney characters on package.
* Dishwashing cloths
* Bibsters

We also used the ziploc diaper bag. I reuse the changing table pad for a day or so. I could fit 5 diapers, small pack of wipes, and pad in large ziploc and we were ready to go.
