Any advice on Disney tickets? Got 15 and 10 year old boys so was going to just do 1 day in each of the theme parks but wanted to use the water parks quite a bit. Staying at All Star Sports resort . There are too many choices of ticket????? We are going in the last two weeks of May09

the magic your way tickets are cheaper per day the more days you buy...
so while a 1 day ticket is very expensive per day (something like $60/day), a 10 day ticket works out to something like $20/day...

so you really have to look at the combination of what you want....
since you want the water parks, you would have to take the water parks plus more add on..

but there are also tickets that can be bought in the UK that are different from what is offered at disney itself.....and work out to be less money..
but i'm not at all familiar with the UK tickets...
i'll see if i can find the link that someone here gave me a few weeks ago..

ok i found the link:

http://www.attraction-tickets-direct...ate-ticket.htm

this is for tickets available in the UK..

this ticket offers unlimited access to all the parks, including the water parks for 14 days..
they don't offer anything like this at disney itself (it's only available in the UK)...it seems like a really good deal to me, if you're going for 2 weeks...

but others with more experience with these tickets would know better...

in any case, you don't have to buy anything now..
wait until you're closer to the trip to see what's available at that time...

There are two types of ticket on sale in the UK:

1) Ultimate tickets which are valid for 14 or 21 days unlimited admission from date of first use. Includes all parks (including water parks).

2) Premium tickets valid for 5 or 7 days admission to theme parks plus 5 admissions to the water parks. The 5 days at the 4 main parks plus the 5 additional visits, all expire 14 days after first use of the ticket.

However, there is little difference in the prices of the 5 and 7 day premium tickets and the 14 day ultimate, so it may be worth considering the Ultimate ticket as it gives you the flexibility to visit a park for the morning, just for the fireworks of an evening, or to combine a morning at a water park with an afternoon/evening at one of the theme parks.

Check the link given above and this will explain the tickets in full.

If you are planning to do all that disney has to offer I would get the 14 day ultimate. Its a good deal and is only offered to UK guests. you can come and go as you please.

Thanks very much for your replies. The Ultimate ticket is probably looking favourite. Do you know if they ever come down in price or shall I just buy them now?

We always buy the Magic Your Way tickets.
Feel the different combinations you can get suit us better.

Would rather have tickets that never expire as potentially you can get more than one holiday out of them.

Not everyone's choice but they work for us.

We will probably go for the 21 day ultimate for next May/June but the prices look high to me at the moment so am waiting for them to come down. Generally 2009 prices are 18% up on this year, probably becasue retailers are witing to see what happens with the $.

The price of a 2008 21 day ticket is currenlty less than we paid for a 14 day ticket last year.
