Which Disney song/music brings tears to your eyes?

Most definitely the "We Go On" song from the end of Illuminations! Sniffle, sniffle......

Oh yeah, this one gets me too, every time I hear it I think about being at WDW right after 9/11, what a hard trip that was to go on, how even though we had been planning for months, we thought it might be wrong, disrespectful to go have fun 10 days after such a horrible tragedy, but in the end we decided to go, that life needed to go on or the terrorists won.

In addition to the ones I already commented on a couple posts up, Wishes gets me every time, When You Wish Upon a Star, and Baby Mine also get me crying.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one, but where are all of you when I'm at Disney???? LOL, often I feel ridiculous crying at these shows/songs, I wish I could see a few more people crying so I wouldn't be quite as embarrassing to my family!

I'm listening to Kingdom Trips and started tearing up a bit at Feed the Birds from Mary Poppins.
This is mainly because I recently watched the documentary The Art of Believing: The Disney Live-Action Classics on Turner Classic Movies.
It features interviews with many of the stars who worked with Walt back in the day, who really gave an insight into what Walt was really like as a person and not as a fabled entertainment entrepreneur.
In it they said that of all the songs in every one of the movies that was made during Walt's time at Disney FEED THE BIRDS was his favorite.
This gave me a whole new, and i guess emotional , outlook of this song.
I really recommend that documentary!

Just like everyone else here there are many songs that bring tears. However, "Circle of Life" tops them all. My second daughter, Hannah was born 3 months premature and was 2 pounds, 12 ounces at birth in 1995. Along with many obvious preemie problems that she had to deal with, she got an illness called necrotizing enterocolitis, or NEC for short. This led to many surgeries, many, many long nights and at one point her heart even stopped after a surgery. Her father and I were escorted into the recovery room where we had to wait. Eventually she did get better and we got to bring her home finally at 6 months old. I was very strong in a church at the time and it was Wednesday night dinner time once we got close to home, so we took her for everyone to meet that had been praying for her. My mom walked in with her and held her up just like baby Simba at the beginning of Lion King. (My mom is not a Disney fan and had no idea.) I noticed and laughed about it then. Now I see the movie and think of my Hannah coming home after such a hard, long battle. The song takes me to that moment. Thirteen years later and it has barely faded. And the good news? She is 13 and other than hearing impairment she is healthy. I also sang "Baby Mine" to her while she was in the hospital.
"Tapestry of Nations"- I also tear up anytime I hear it. I too wish they would bring that back. However, I do not expect it at all. Funny, if they planned Tapestry for one night I would plan a trip around that one thing.
"You'll Be in My Heart" also because of a custody battle after a divorce where there was a period I did not see my children.
I am crying now. But happy tears. These may seem like sad memories, but truthfully it reminds me of how strong I am.
Oh, and "I'll Try" because grown-up Wendy is me!

I still like the music from the Tapestry of Nations parade that used to be at EPCOT.

Yup. That's the one that gets to me when I hear it too. Our favorite.

Wishes...especially the end! We always try to watch Wishes on our last night, and that ending signals the end of our trip, because you can hear it as you're leaving the park.

The other day we were listening to the Wishes CD in the car, and that part came on. I started bawling! My DH thought I had lost it. I think I was a little emotional that day, though.

I am such a sap too. I was watching the old episode from Full House when they were in Disney. I started crying when they watched Wishes. My husband laughs at me! He said I was more fun to watch than SpectroMagic! I'm such a Disney Kid at heart!!

I also LOVE "When You Wish Upon A Star" but the one that I love the most is the acapella version done by Nsync. LOVE it & when I listen to it in the car, I usually listen to it at least 3 times in a row!

I really love the version by Four 4 a Dollar (Return 2 Zero) they used to do the opening to BnB at DHS. I have them on video singing to my DD on her 9th BDay.

Ciricle of life- Just seeing alll animals going to see the cornation of Simba brings water to my etys

When you wish upon a star- The song that best describes the Disney company

A whole new world- Another song that gives me that tingly feeling

Imgantion from Fantasic- I don't know why but ever time I hear this song start I get misty eyes not too badly

Also Simple and Clean and Sacancyt from the Kingdom Hearts games for those who haven't play them they are they opening and closing songs for the games

Not teary, but definitely emotional/goose-pimply when I hear anything from Epcot. My favorite was Tomorrow's Child from the original Spaceship Earth ride.

Nearly all of them do but typically parade and firework music the most.

I think the most are
1. We go On from Illuminations
2. Believe! There's Magic in the stars (fireworks show at Disneyland from a few years back)
3. Wishes
4. "Endless Night" from The Lion King Musical. This one ALWAYS brings a tear to the eye.
5. Disney Dreams come true Parade.
6. Golden Dreams - Just One Dream (from the now gone attraction at DCA)

Then there is a batch of just so emotionally charged music I love
- Remember When (Leann Rimes)
- Destiny (Louise Warren)
- Canada (Youre A Lifetime Journey)
- Golden Dream (mainly the one by Voices of Liberty)

Then movies
- HOME from Beauty and the Beast....oh how I love that song. The version by Rachel Beck in the Australian Musical production tears at the heart strings like no other version.
- You'll be in my heart
- When she loved me
- I will go sailing no more
- Reflection from Mulan [this came out at the end of high school for me and just hit the nail on the head as to me and how I was feeling about where I wanted to go next]
- Go the Distance


And then there is 'Mulan's Decision - Haircut' from Mulan and "The Cleaner" from Toy Story 2 also get me right between the eyes

I wouldn't say I cry or tear up but Baby Mine from Dumbo definitely gets me sentimental as my mother used to watch Dumbo with me all the time when I was a kid and that was our little song

A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes-- I think it's the note progression in this one, I don't know.
Baby Mine-- No explanation required.
Golden Dreams-- I think I associate it too closely with the montage.
When She Loved Me-- Just take take my heart and stomp all over it.
You Can Fly-- Happy tears!
We Go On-- Just a reminder of life/time impermanence.
Feed the Birds-- Has had the same effect since I was a little girl.
and on a more obscure note, the Main Street soundtrack when they play "Mary's a Grand Old Name". It's a very special song in my family, and was part of my wedding.

I'm a wreck with this music, and I could probably fill another list with more! The hard part is choking back the lump in my throat and holding back the floodgates so the kids don't get upset that mom's all teary. I'm not normally a big crier, so it would definitely alarm them.

For me it's the music from Illuminations and the American Adventure. From a movie I would have to say it's "Someone's Waiting for You" from the Rescuers. That song is impossible to find, but every time it just gets me.

For me, from the movies...its Snow White's "I'm Wishing" song...I just walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of it!

I don't get teary eyed, I get goose bumps when I hear the Illuminations and Wishes songs...

There's not a day that goes by in WDW that I'm not crying!

"When you wish upon a star" - all time favorite and a definite cryer

"You'll be in my heart" - what parent wouldn't cry with that one?

"Tapestry of Nations" - I can't believe so many other people remember this music/parade -wish they'd bring it back. (they play the music when you're leaving Epcot after Illuminations)

"Wishes" - especially "starlight, starbright...first star I see tonight......
and "see what a little wishing can do?" - I always have a red puffy face when getting on the monorail!!

Also, it's not exactly music but .....the video they show you on Magical Express on the way back to the airport (with Mickey and friends waving goodby). My son and I just sit there and cry on the bus!!

I left out 2 songs from my previous list above: "God Help the Outcasts" from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. It has beautiful words in it. Everytime we saw the live show at HS (it was MGM Studios back then), it just brought tears to my eyes.

The other is "Bella Notte" from Lady and the Tramp...aaah what else can I say!!

I love it! I miss that song so badly, especially the instrumental part around 1:54 on the video. Gets me every time.
And the sad part, I used to have that entire song on cassette tape but can't find where it is.
