Which dinner to skip for Palo?

Which dinner on the 7-night cruise would you skip to go to Palo? A standard rotation dinner?

We skipped the standard rotation dinner at Lumiere's which was also Semi-Formal night. We did it more for the fact that it was Semi-Formal night and we thought it would be a great night for Palo. The only regular rotation I wouldn't skip would be Animator's Palette - they only do the light show on your regular rotation night.

Personally, I vote you skip the tropical/mexican themed night. We were all excited to go to dinner dressed in our island duds but it turned out it was the worst food of the entire trip. Absolutely everything was below average....our waiter even told us the night before to stay in Cozumel and eat there and don't worry about missing dinner. Boy was he right!

Is it better to book Palo's later in the week of the seven day cruise? If I book it ealier I am afraid that I will miss the first night of Animator's palate.

Honestly, after being on our first 7 night...I would skip any of the nights to go to Palo, or every night and eat in Palo every night...lol.

The food in the dining room is ok..nothing really stands out, however at Palo, everything is wonderful!
