Which dinner show should we do with 2 boys age 5 & 3? Opinions based on food quality are also definatley welcome!

BTW, I can get discounted tickets for all three and the price difference between the 3 would only be about $30.

Thanks :flower:

I have only done the Arabian ones.

I think boys would want more excitment less romantic.

maybe the pirates - the reviews on it as pretty good.

www.ticketmania.com
generally has the best prices I have seem on the Arabian one.

I have two boys and have been to Arabian Knights and Medieval Times (not Pirates) and my vote (and theirs) goes to Dixie Stampede! I know you didn't list this in the poll, probably because it is more expensive, but it's really the best show and the food is good too!

Hmm :scratchin I'll have to look into that one - thanks!

I don't think you were referring to it---however wonderworks has a dinner magic/comedy show that is very family oriented. They had snacks before dinner-- pretzels and popcorn. Then during the show they had pizza. The food was just so-so, but the show itself was really funny and a great time.

We did Medieval Times and my all my guys loved it! This time I thought about doing the Arabian Nights, Dixie or Luau but all my guys want to do is go back to MT.

Hey OP thanks, I'm interested in doing one of these shows as well. I have been to Medieval Times and I loved it and wanted to take the kids but am also interested in the Pirates one as well. My DD is 10 & DS 6.

I'll follow this thread because any information or opinions would be helpful.

I've done all the dinner shows and would pick Medieval Times or Pirates for young boys. Having said that, Dixie Stampede is still my favorite overall, but I think the excitement of the other two would appeal more to your boys.

We just took our 3 boys (7,9, and 12) to Pirates last week. The food (and the show) have improved, so it moves up just a bit on my list.

Reading some reviews of the Pirate show and quite a few said the food wasn't great and there was a musty/moldy smell in the building. Is that true?

No, we didn't notice any nasty smells. The food used to be horrible, but we all agreed it is noticably improved. While we never expect gourmet food at a dinner show, Pirates is definietly better than it used to be.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking that I might take them to the Pirate show...then it will be something new to me. :)

I think that we will be going with the Pirate show as well :flower:

I've done Medival Times and Pirates but not Arabian Knights. The food in both places was fair but Pirates was the worse of these two. I wouldn't go again. Service was poor. I appreciate the attempt at humour but it mostly felt flat. I had a two-year old and a nine-year old with me. None of us wanted to see it again.

If you're looking to expand the dinner shows, look at some that Disney has onsite. I haven't been to them but given the age of the kids, they might like it as well. If you are staying onsite, I believe they have a little campfire program at Camp Wilderness that they might enjoy with Chip and Dale.

Our boys have been twice, once at 2, 7 and 4, 9. They loved the sword play. Very exciting to keep them on the edge of their seats. A little expensive but there are always discounts in magazines or AAA. You can see sparks fly off the swords. My little one wanted to know where the blood was. The little imp.
