Which Deluxe resort?

We want to try a new deluxe resort for our next trip. We have 2 children 9 and 13. We have previously stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and Boardwalk Inn. Which resort would you recommend and why?

It depends on where you will spend most of your time and what your likes and dislikes are. If your family likes MK, then the monorail resorts are great. we love the Poly the best, but Wl, GF and CR are great too. The poly is casual with a south seas theme that some love and some hate. GF is very stately and more formal. CR is very busy almost like a big city hotel. WL is stunning and has boat access to MK, but is less convenient than the others. If you like to spend most of your time at Epcot or MGM, then Boardwalk, YC or BC are closest and all are wonderful. Boardwalk is busier than the others with lots of restaurants and clubs. YC is more formal than BC but both share Storm Along Bay. AKL is near AK but is somewhat removed from the rest of WDW. People love it. You need to decide what is most important to your family and then pick a place. They are all great.

When my DD was 9 to present (she's 13), YC/BC is still her reigning favorite deluxe. SAB is such an awesome pool, and she loves Beaches & Cream, as well as going over to the BW at night for some fun. MGM & the World Showcase now take precedence over MK , except when it's an E Ride nt., but she loved E Ride nts. @ 9, also. The rooms are much larger than WL (her 2nd choice for a deluxe), & they've just been renovated. I love the convenience to MGM & Epcot, & being able to watch the Illuminations fireworks from either our balcony or the BW bridge without having to fight the crowds. The arcade is nice, but she prefers going over to ESPN's at the BW. She also likes to get her hair braided at the salon. It's a great area with lots to do, as you know from staying at BWI, but with better dining options than BWI, and a much better swimming complex. I prefer YC/BC over GF & Poly because of you don't have to leave the lobby & go outside to another building to get to your room. Just my opinion.
