Which day would you go next week--we have either Friday or Saturday

I was hoping to leave Tuesday and go to DL Wednesday, but my sister can't get off work, so we're leaving Wednesday for a quick trip to visit grandparents and doing MToT party on Thursday and then 1 day at DL on either Friday or Saturday. Given that yesterday was so crazy, which day do you think would be better? For anyone there today, how are the crowds?

That's a tough choice. Seeing that both S. Cal and S. Cal Select AP's are blocked on Saturday, I would usually be inclined to pick that one. However, I think a large part of the crowds during next weekend will be from Fall Breaks and out-of-state visitors. So, I'm not sure if you will see a large difference between the 2 days. Regardless, I would make sure whichever day you choose, that you be there before park opening and take advantage of the uncrowded morning.

Thanks! I didn't know that about the S. Cal AP's. Another thing I just thought of is that since there's no MToTP on Saturday, is it possible that DL might be less crowded that day vs. Friday since DCA will be open to the general public in the evening as well? We know it will be crowded no matter what, but I really don't want to deal with max capacity crowds if at all possible. We just went in the summer so we don't need to see everything, but would like to ride a bunch of rides, collect FP's in the morning, relax a bit in the afternoon & use FP's, and then see the fireworks.

It is really hard to say. Last weekend was crowded, I was there last Sunday but it was bearable. From what I read this weekend it was nuts. It is hard to predict what next weekend will bring.
