Which day of the week to go to IOA/WWoHP

We are heading to Disney Dec. 9(check-in late)-17 and would like to surprise my mom (who is a 51 yr old Potter lover) with a day at IOA/WWoHP. We will be staying at Disney but will have a car and I am just wondering what the best day would be to go to IOA. Needless to say we have never been to IOA before and have no clue what we are doing Any suggestion as to the least busiest day would be greatly appreciated.

Without checking to see if anything special is happening that week, I'm going to say Wednesday. Since a lot of people make 3-4 day "long weekends" to visit theme parks Wednesday is usually the least busy day of the week.

Again just make sure there's not anything "special" planned for that particular day.

If you can go on a Sunday, it is the least busy day.

I think the least crowded days are, in no particular order: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Avoid Monday, Friday, and Saturday if possible. Just my general rule of thumb, with no special cases such as events or holiday weekends figured in.

We just got back from 10 days in Orlando (10/27-11/5) and we went to IOA on Wednesday and Universal on Friday. Not really any crowds at either park. The wait times were just minutes. But it is the only time I have ever been to US/IOA so YMMV.
