Which is the better day to go to EPCOT during F&W -- a Saturday or Sunday. We want to enjoy the rides, perforances, and of course kiosks at F&W. Which day would have the lower crowds? I was thinking Sunday would be a better choice, but a friend doesn't think that it will matter and that either one will be crazy busy. Thoughts?

I've just checked some crowd calendars and most weekends crowds are anticipated to be the same each day of the weekend. On the weekends that they differ it appears that Saturday's are a bit lower crowds than Sundays. That could possible be because many tourists book Saturday to Saturday trips? Just a guess.

Sunday will be busy, but is much better than Saturday. I've said it many times ... but unless you have hard tickets for a F&W event on a Saturday, avoid it at all costs after ~ 1 PM.

I agree, avoid Saturday at all cost.
I agree with your friend, both days are likely crazy busy
Good Luck

Its been said that the locals come for Saturday and Sunday so it's busier those days. I was there last year on Sunday and didn't really have a hard time, but it did rain cats and dogs for about a hour and when it stopped it still sprinkled for the rest of the night. Didn't bother me, I came prepared with poncho and umbrella but loads of people left.

What do you think about going to Epcot both days? If you went to Epcot for Rope Drop enjoyed the attractions until 11AM and then headed over to World Showcase to have your lunch snacking around the "world" you will be fine either day. You'll find more folks coming into WS as the afternoon goes on. I think someone already said you'll find yourself in a crowd around 1PM.
If you want to come back one night for the music performances and some additional enjoyment of the kiosks I would aim for Sunday night.
I can't enjoy F&W in just one visit - there is too much too eat! I like to split it over a couple of days if possible.

Thanks for all of the input. I like your idea LisaCM614 about doing more than one day and coming early and then heading out after lunch. We might just have to do both and know that if it is too crazy busy that we can leave and come back the next day.

Absolutely Sunday, if those days are your only choices. Saturdays are the single most crowded and crazy days of the festival. doesn't apply to Future World, just WS. Although I hear the festival will be expanding partially into Future World this year.

Crowd calendars aren't accurate regarding the festival because most of them use estimated wait times for attractions. The crowds who are in WS for the festival are not interested in the attractions.

Go Sunday for sure.
Line ups at every kiosk were massive when we went on a Saturday. On Sunday they were much more manageable.

Sundays are manageable. Saturdays are insanely busy with many locals coming in for the festival, making the lines for the kiosks super long.

Not easyWDW. It does not recommend Epcot on weekends during F&W due to crowds for the festival.
