Which dates would be better?

We have two choices of dates for our trip this summer. One option is to go June 10 - June 14 and the other option is to go July 29 - August 2. Are there any advantages of one set of dates over the other? Thanks!

If you go that week in June the pier will not be open yet. Crowds should be pretty similar. Late July will probably be warmer. Also that week in June doesn't have full 8 to 12 hours yet. We're going to be there that week and are a little sad to miss the pier.

Thank you! Would there be much difference in crowd levels between the two dates? The chance of it being hotter in late July is making me favor the June dates although having the Pier closed is a bummer.

It will definitely hotter in late July during the day. I don't ride the Roller Coaster so the pier is no big thing for me.

Southern California passes are blocked in July, and you won't have end of year school trips in July. We ran into bus loads of junior high kids, along with "June gloom" on our June trip. We like July -- longer hours, everything is open, and just a fun time to be there!

I would expect the July weather to be potentially hotter and/or more humid but the park likely less crowded and with longer open hours than during the June dates given.
