Which date is best for MNNSHP?

We are taking our girls (5 and 3) for their first trip the last week of Oct. We will be there from 10/25-10/31. We're checking out on 11/1.

There are MNNSHP's available on the following dates:
10/26 - Sunday
10/28 - Tues
10/30 - Thurs
10/31 - Friday (Halloween)

Based on this, which one would you all choose? I want the least crazy crowds I can get, though I realize it will probably nuts no matter what since it's the week before/during Halloween. I am leaning toward the Sunday or the Tuesday, but I have zero experience with this.

I'm thinking my approach to this day is going to be an ADR for breakfast at Akershus to get their princess fix, then maybe do the couple of things at Epcot that I think will interest them. If I wasn't doing Akershus, I don't think we'd do Epcot at all this trip...however, I don't know that I want to mess with CRT between the difficulty of the ADRs, the prices, and the mixed food reviews. I realize it's a theme park, but I still want decent food (esp at these prices!). So, anyway, I'm thinking we'll hit a character breakfast, piddle around, go back to the hotel for a low key lunch and a nap, and then head over to MK at 4 for the party. Let me know if this plan has major flaws!

I'd appreciate any/all help you can provide!

Sunday would likely be the least crowded, but Tuesday would be a close runner up. Just pick the day that works best with rest of your schedule.

Ooh. I'm surprised to hear Sunday should be the lightest crowd level that week - I would have expected Tuesday to be the lightest, given that it's midweek and not Halloween/day before. We'll be at Disney World the same week and I'm debating which day for the Halloween party as well! :)

It won't really matter- historically, all of the Halloween week parties sell out. Just go with what fits best into your "which parks/which days" plan.

You might want to do the Tuesday party so you will have a relatively easy day of relaxation in the middle of the trip.

Have fun- even a sold out MNSSHP is lots of fun!! We have been to WDW during Halloween week, and it is a wonderful week to go. Weather is lovely, crowds are low, and the MNSSHP, fall decorations, and F& W Festival are great.

I appreciate the responses. I think we will probably plan for the Tuesday party at this point. Tickets go on sale around 5/1, correct? I'll watch for it and plan to get my tickets early.

Generally, I don't like crowds and have planned our last two couple's trips around the crowd calendars and stuff. This time, I had no real choice as we are traveling with extended family, but I think this time of year will be lovely. Also, I love Halloween and am willing to brave the masses in order to celebrate at WDW. I think it'll be a one-time thing for us, so I'm wanting to do it right. I'm already working on costumes. :)

Our ADR window opens next week, so I want to have all this stuff ironed out as much as possible before then. I'm already sort of dreading the extended family trip as I think they won't understand that we can't fly by the seat of our pants as much as they're used to.

I am going that week as well, I am actually going to brave the Oct 31st crowds lol

I heard its when you get the largest amount of candy lol :)
Plus Halloween wouldn't be Halloween with out the TOTing.

I went the night before Halloween...I assume it was a sold out party...and I didn't think the crowds were that bad! I didn't do any of the character meets though, so I'm judging based on ride lines, the parade crowds, and just walking around. It was so awesome!

General rule of thumb is the closer to Halloween, the busier the party is. With that logic, Tuesday would probably be busier than Sunday. But since Sunday is the last weekend day before the party, it could prove to be busier than Tuesday. Flip of a coin on this one to me, but I would definitely pick Sunday or Tuesday. Whichever night fits into your plans better. Whatever you do, buy your tix in advance. This week, these parties run the risk of selling out.

Thanks to the OP for posing the question and all responses indicating to chose what fits best. I have been struggling to make a choice between Oct 13,16 or 17. Now I just have to decide what fits best. :scratchin
