Which CS places give you the most value of your credit?

We may end up having to pay for a few CS OOP and I was just trying to look and see if there was someplace that we wanted to eat at that might be more pricey OOP.

I think its around 13. for this meal, and it comes with sides (carrots & potatoes), drink, and a desert on the DP. I like this much more than burgers & fries, and am able to share it with DD5.

The meals at Pepper Market at CSR were about $12-20, not including the drink and dessert. So they're worth quite a bit.

However, the counter service locations that give you the best value for your DDP credit will ultimately be the ones that sell food you enjoy.

well, if the search engine worked I would link you to a really cool thread that has a spreadsheet that runs this down from the most expensive to the least ---both CS and TS!!! YOu may find it either in the Budget Boards or the Restaurant board....

IF the search engine ever kicks in again - SEARCH: Spreadsheet and see if you can find it.

Pepper Market at CSR (smoothie, steak with veggies, dessert)

Cosmic Rays (chicken/rib platter, drink, dessert)

Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco (chicken/lamb swarma platter, soda, baklava

La Kringla Bakeri in Norway (soup & sandwich, large soda, any dessert)

Sunshine Seasons (flatbread $10.99, large drink $2.50, great desserts $4.99 with tax+ $19.68)

Yak & Yeti CS (Kung Pao Beef $10.99, Mango Pie $3.59, drink $2.39 with tax+ $18.07)

It does work, for special people ;) but Robo had an excellent suggestion: Google Disboards and whatever topic you're seeking.

That's how I found this http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1085399 from last year; in addition, if the OP looks at the Dining Plan message board posts, somebody is offering to e-mail a (probably more recent) spreadsheet to anyone who asks.

The CS at Cosmic Ray's are most definitely shareable (word?), but I did find it a huge pain that you have to stand in line at different bays in order to get the different food. Really inconvenient when you have 6 kids and 2 adults that all want different meals.

Cosmic Ray's - roasted chicken/garlic mashed potatoes/carrots - more than you get in some sit downs

Wolfgang Puck's Express - good quality food, huge portions, good selection

The food court at POR has a create your own pasta that's more than enough for two and it's good!!!
They have a great deal of variety to choose from, too!

Please forgive my ignorance...I thought Yak and Yeti was a TS.?.:confused3

OK, I just went to allearsnet to check out the menus and YES there is a CS menu at Yak and Yeti's. Thanks for the info. The menu looks really yummy! So does that mean there are 2 restaurants?

How many of you are going? DH and I shared CS a lot, so we were able get CS lunch and breakfast almost everyday. As of May 2007 (not sure if has changed) kids CS credits could be used for any counter service meal (which is unlike TS credit). Our kids also shared meals.

The DDP is a lot of food and we never had to pay OOP. In fact on our last day we got some sandwiches to go and stocked up on snacks to take to the airport.

(And I say this as a cajun girl that can eat anyone under the table and travels by way of my stomach and DH that is 240 lbs and a very healthy appetite:rotfl: )

Opps! Forgot to add Wolf Gang Puck Express was great. I also liked Pecos Bill and Cosmic Rays. Disney really knows how to feed people.

My DH doesn't share, he usually finishes all of ours. My 2 boys (ages 5 and 19 months) sometimes eat like pigs, other times don't want anything but fruit snacks and chips. Since my youngest won't be on the plan, I'm trying to get things that we can share so that i don't have to buy a meal for him...I'm cheap!! And his brother, sometimes will share, sometimes won't. Just depends on the mood...
