Which Christmas movies are on your must watch list?

Die Hard 1 and 2
A Christmas Story
Charlie Brown Christmas

Those are the only must watch movies but around Christmas I really like the documentaries and travel shows the show Christmas around the world.

I guess I'm weird. I really love to watch "Christmas in Connecticut" with Barbara Stanwyck. It's probably my number 1 favorite.

My number 2 is "White Christmas" because Rosemary Clooney is my hero and I'm a little bit in love with Danny Kaye.

I enjoy "Scrooged", "Meet Me in St. Louis" and "Gremlins" as well. Honorable mention for "Krampus".

Same as mentioned already

It’s A Wonderful Life
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
A Christmas Story
The Family Man
Funny Farm (Chevy Chase. The movie starts in the summer, but has a
large Christmas portion)
Dir Hard. (Yes, I say it’s a Christmas movie. My DH the Die Hard purist
disagrees)
A new Hallmark Christmas movie whenever we’re flipping & find one.

We‘ll watch any of these more than once if one of them is on & there’s nothing else interesting us.

Harry Potter Series, the Christmas scenes are just gorgeous
Elf, is so stinkin cute
Bridget Jones Diary is my quiet time present wrapping with some eggnog movie
the rest are a random hodgepodge of playful whimsy

With the youngest being away to school, she has made request for this holiday week that we watch Christmas Vacation and she has never seen Christmas with the Kranks. Also Elf will be watched. Sad that the standard Christmas cartoons and animated shows aren't on regular TV any more (or are they?)

Oh, and trying to catch regular over the air channel to see the commercial that makes the holiday season feel like the holiday season since 1982....

I love these threads because there are always a couple that aren't on my radar. One that wasn't for me that has "cracked" my must watch list is

Feast of the Seven Fishes

If you're Italian, you will love and laugh at the memories and the way it's presented ...which for me is very accurate and captures the traditions so brilliantly, if not stereotypically. If you're not Italian -you'll wish you had been(LOL)! And it's set in the 80's, what more could one ask for. I know you can rent it on Amazon and it may be available on a couple other services. Thank me later -it's a Classic.....

I don't really have a must watch otehr than I always have A Christmas Story on during the 24 hours airing. At this point I barely watch it because I know it so well!

Christmas movies that I like though and may give a watch:

Muppets Christmas Carol
Mickey's Christmas Carol
Nightmare Before Christmas
Christmas Vacation
Jingle All the Way

I have many must see during the Holidays.
a few:
Santa CLause with Tim Allen can't wait to see the newest
A Christmas Story again want to see the newest movie too
Polar Express
ALL old movies A Christmas Carol, White Christmas, Holiday Inn Miracle on 34th street

and more!

Christmas Vacation
A Christmas Story
The Homecoming
Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas
A Charlie Brown Christmas

Is The Sound of Music a Christmas movie? It’s usually on TV near the big day and somehow My Favorite Things is considered a Christmas song.

I like It’s a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve and at least on viewing of A Christmas Story during its 24 hour marathon.

Christmas Vacation is a possibility but it’s easily skippable.

I used to love A Charlie Brown Christmas. That sad little Christmas tree always brought a tear to my eye. I haven't been able to find it lately. Now we love Christmas Vacation. Know the words almost by heart, but we still laugh.

Muppets Christmas carol
All the old claymations and classics
Christmas story
Christmas with the kranks
The Santa clause
Mickeys once snd twice upon a xmas
Christmas vacation
Charlie Brown
Grinch (cartoon and Jim Carey movie)

I usually watch more than this, but my "must watch" list includes:

Elf
Charlie Brown Christmas
Arthur Christmas
The Year Without a Santa Claus
Muppet Christmas Carol
original Grinch
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas
Shrek the Halls
The Family Stone
