So, as some of you know, DH and I were honored to be asked to be our niece's Godparents. I talked to my SIL today to see if she would like if I purchased her Christening gown. It turns out that she does have one from her older daughter however it has yellowed a great bit. She is going to see if that can be cleaned and if not then I am going to get her a gown. Still following :teeth: . So, I have been perusing the internet and found these 3 dresses that I LOVE. Just looking for opinions on which you like best.

Thanks!!!

P.S. As a side question, does anyone know if she should be able to get the yellow out?

Gown "A" (love the sleeves)

Gown "B" (love this but afraid it might be "too much")

Gown "C" (extra pictures to see detailing)

Gown A! I love it, esp. the sleeves!

I like A the best. Also, even if she can get the yellow out of the other dress, I still think it would be nice for each daughter to have their own gown to pass on to their daughters.

I like B because of the hat. And that is what you will notice more because it will be around the baby's head. I don't think once the dress is on the sleeves will stand out as much.

I like either A or C. I love the smocking detail of C. They are all very pretty. You can't go wrong with any of these.

All three are beautiful but I like A the best. Its beautiful and simple enough to not overwhelm the baby.

LOVE A, Kim....and Ahhh..congratulations on the great honor of being the baby's princess: Godparents!!!

So awesome! :goodvibes

Thank you :cloud9:

I like the first one the best. Very pretty.

I hope your SIL can get the dress she already has in a wearable condition, though. It'll make that dress so much more special. My mom's baptism dress was worn by me and my DS, along with her brother, her brother's three kids, and her brother's grandkids, her other brother and his daughter. :)

All three are beautiful. Touch choice, but I picked B.
How sweet that you and DH will share a godchild...

I like B the best and don't think it is "too much" at all. :)

Then A.

I don't really like C at all, but maybe it is the picture.

They are all dreamy! Any of them would be wonderful! It would be special if the yellow can be removed from the old gown though.

The gown my sons and granddaughter wore was made over a hundred years ago for my husband's aunt. It is pure cotton, and to get the yellow out, my MIL wiped it with bleach! My DIL took it to the cleaner's.

I voted for Gown A.. It is gorgeous and has an antique look to it. :thumbsup2

I voted B. I don't think it's "too much" at all. But then I tend to like things a bit more flashy .
