Which character meal offers Mickey and GOOD food?

My 8 year old just told me that he wants to "do that restaurant where we meet Mickey". I don't like Garden Grill, and I WISH that Liberty Tavern still had a character meal. Which character meals showcase Mickey other than GG? Thanks!

Aren't Garden Grill and LTT EXTREMELY similar food-wise? Why would you like one and not the other? : Oh well.

We love Chef Mickey's! That's the only other one besides GG that has Mickey.

I asked myself the same thing about GG and LTT as they both have turkey, gravy, salad...and we have done both character dinners. So, I've decided its a combination of the restauarant decor and the smell. For some reason, The Land pavillion has an odor that I don't particular like--I've often wondered if it is something they cook at Sunshine Seasons that doesn't appeal to me. We absolutely love the Living with the Land ride-its one of our favorites and have considered the "Behind the Seeds" tour.

I'm game for dinner at Chef Mickey's--looks like its standard buffet fare so I'll find something I like! Besides, the whole point is for my kids to enjoy the character interaction before they decide they've outgrown it. Can you tell I also have a teenager?

Tusker House breakfast


When we went to Chef Mickey dinner 2 years ago, it was on par with Golden Corral food...and the atmosphere was like a school cafeteria...I found something to eat (I will eat at a Golden Corral), but I don't know that I would call it "good." IMHO, Crystal Palace dinner was much, much better.

I'm laughing hysterically,, The Garden Grill is the only dinner, character meal with Mickey that is available at a reasonable time during our trip. Since I refuse to eat supper at 9pm, we are booked at The Garden Grill. Hopefully, it will smell better to me this year! Thanks for everyones comments and suggestions.

None of the character meals offer particularly notable food, but breakfast at Tusker House is probably the best option. I consider it a notch above the other popular character buffets, offering better variety and slightly better food.

Hello everybody! I'm new to the board and so far I'm getting the hang of things pretty okay. Forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong section, and please direct me to the right one if that is the case.
Chef Mickey's and Cinderella's royal table are the two character meals we are going to do during our 2012 summer vacation. Is there any way we can pre-pay everything before we even get there? I know we have to book them in advance. Also, when do you suggest we do both of these character meals? We plan on doing Cindy's for breakfast and CM for dinner (not on the same day). Also, is the hotel breakfast any good? We will be staying at All Star Movies. If it isn't what places do you suggest for Bkfst, lunch, and dinner that don't require reservations? Over the counter is fine also, just as long as the food is good. Thank you in advance!
