I'm trying to decide which character breakfasts to do on our trip. I'm deciding between Crystal Palace, Akershus, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare, and 'Ohana.
I think we will do 2 out of the above. Which is the best overall experience and why? Which is your favorite?

No brainer....Crystal Palace. But you'll get a varied response here.

'Ohana, hands down! We love Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, Pluto, and the great food. We also love going to see the Poly.

we love tusker house. it is one of the few places to see donald! and of course the characters are in safari garb.:yay:

I love the O'hana breakfast. The food is good and it is not a buffet, but family style. Plus, it's at the Poly!! My daughter refuses to do ANY character meals now, but if she would agree to it, this would be the one I'd pick!

I would have to go with 1900 Park Fare! The character's are a great mix with Winnie the Pooh , Tigger , Mary Poppin's, Alice & The Mad Hatter. My DS (4) had a blast:goodvibes. He got to give Winnie a hug, bounce with Tigger, we told Mary he liked steppin' time and she told him about it, Alice wanted to know his favorite games & My fav the Mad Hatter, you could hear him across the room he was a riot:lmao: in the pic with my DS he was licking his lips and crossed his eyes.

The food was also top noche. :woohoo:

For me it would depend on what the interests of the people who are attending the character meal are. Our daughter is princesses all the way, so Akershus is a must, but we're also doing 1900 Park Fare for dinner (Cinderella) and then Tusker House for breakfast b/c DH and I love AK and the classic characters. For us it is less about the quality of the food, since buffets are very hit or miss, and the breakfast food is pretty standard, anyway, and more about the characters we want to meet. HTH.

'Ohana has an advantage...food is brought to you family-style. You don't have to worry about missing the characters while you or part of your group is away at the buffet line! I really enjoyed that when we went last week.

for the food crystal palace for dinner for the characters 1900 park fare for dinner. the step sisters are hilarious and great interaction with the kids.

I feel silly happy to see the 'Ohana posts. We changed our days around and ended up losing our Tusker House breakfast. I kept checking and checking (and checking and checking. . .) for one on our new AK day to no avail. Then one day 'Ohana popped up as an alternative. I had no intention of traveling to Poly during our stay, but I looked into the 'Ohana breakfast and took the ADR. Now I'm really excited to be going there!

Our other picks for breakfast for this trip are Crystal Palace and Cape May Cafe (another rare place to see Donald and I do believe he walks around and visits the tables there). When we get back, I'm planning to do restaurant reviews, so I'll let you know how they go!

'Ohana means family....and family means no one ever gets left behind"

Hugs,
Mary

I'd go for Crystal Palace 1st and Ohana 2nd. CP is jsut a great relaxing atmosphere and the food is SO good! Ohana is a close second! My kids LOVE the bread and the special friendship juice!

Depends on whose going. But if you're going for the breakfast food-I prefer 1900 and Crystal Palace.:thumbsup2

We tried to get into Chef Mickeys on our last trip, but it was booked. The CM kept trying to sell us on O'hanas, but we were not thrilled about it. Turns out, it was our favorite meal of our trip! The food was fabulous, served at our table family style. The fresh juices were great. And the characters were great with our kids--Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. We made reservations there for our next trip in April.

My vote goes to Tusker House. :thumbsup2
Loved the characters, the food was excellent, and the location is perfect (steps away from the safari). It is our families tradition to start our AK day at Tusker House. We will be doing just that in 9 days! :goodvibes

Just out of curiosity, why isn't Chef Mickey's on your list?

We are huge Crystal Palace fans!! The other breakfast that we've really enjoyed (but not on your list) was the Play n' Dine at Hollywood and Vine.
