We went to the Fort with our camper 2 years ago and had a great time. We will be coming back this November but are going to stay in a cabin. Any opinions on which cabin loop is the best?

. . . Any opinions on which cabin loop is the best?

1) The one at which I stay.
2) Regardless of the loop number.
3) For you, it depends
. . . if you want to be near The Settlement
. . . if you want to be near the Pool-Campfire-Meadows
. . . if you want to be near The Outpost
. . . if you Want-To-Be-Left-Alone
4) 409 Wilderness Cabins located in 8 cabin loops:
2100- Bobcat Bend
2200- Arrowhead Way
2300- Shawnee Bend
2400- Settler's Bend
2500- Cedar Circle
2600- Moccasin Trail
2700- Heron Hollow
2800- Willow Way

First choice near the pool-campfire-Meadows, 2nd would be The Settlement

I agree with bama.. I prefer 2100.. that is where we stay is the best.. I tend to ask for a cabin on the rim and not in the center.. Just a personal preference.

Our personal preference every year for the past 5 years is loop 2600. It's near the quiet pool and laundry and bus. We also always rent a golf cart. :)

We requested and stayed in 2100 in Feb and I thought the location was great. Very quiet, but just a short walk to the Meadows pool and the playground area on the way there. We also walked to the Outpost Depot a couple times out of necessity and even that was not a bad walk. We were close to the entrance to the loop and enjoyed being so close to the bus stop - never had an issue with early morning/late night noise as I had worried.

Thanks for the suggestions! We are renting a golf cart from Kenny, but I think my grandaughters would like to be near all the action- lol. 2100 Loop sounds pretty good- I think we'll request it.

Are there any cabins open to the public near The Settlement? I know 100/200, but I didn't think they were available to regular ol' people like me. (Sorry to piggyback on your post, but it's got me wondering.)

There are two cabins in the 100 loop that used to be for VIP people but I have heard of regular families getting them. Request them on your reservation but it can not be guaranteed.
