Which Building To Choose At Por??

Can anyone with any experiences of POR advise me as to which building is a good one to stay in please??

Ideally, we would like non-smoking, near a quiet pool in a quiet location and not too far to a bus stop. We don't mind a bit of a walk, say 10 mins to the food court etc, as feel this may be a bit noisy late at night anyway.

I've looked at the resort map and buildings 25 or 26 look good and we don't really want to overlook the car park.

I stayed in building 14, which is as close to the foodcourt and main bus stop as you can get.
I never noticed any noise, so I don't think you'll have a problem there.

POR is a lovely resort and I'm sure you will enjoy it enormously.

Thanks for getting back to me. I just wondered if a few days prior to arriving, I could fax a building preference. I realise that nothing would be guaranteed but wonder if they would try and accomodate your request if possible??

By the way, I've read all your trip reports, you have demi-God status in our household. How are Tammy and the girls?

Have to agree with kevin, building 14 is the best as far as i'm concerned as well
You can get your travel agent to request your preferences now, in fact i'd do it ASAP! We phoned POR direct and requested this ourselves, but remember that it's only a request and cant be guaranteed although it's in their best interests to keep their guests happy.

You should certainly request ahead of arrival. As Audrey says, it is only a request, but I have usually had good fortune when asking for a specific building.

We`ve stayed in Oak Manor and Magnolia Terrace in the mansion section of POR, both have easy access to a quiet pool. The walk to the bus stop is around 5 mins - to the food court around 10 mins.
I love POR so have a really great stay.
The check in staff are very good at giving you the room you want, so say if you are not happy with your room assignment.
