My wife and I are currently planning our next trip and trying to think of where we'd like to eat this time. We've been to a few buffets/all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurants like Biergarten and Boma. Biergarten we usually go for lunch so the price is a bit easier to swallow but when places like Boma charge $40+ a person we always cringe when we see the bill at the end.

We aren't the biggest eaters but the types of food served at these kinds of places ends up drawing us in. At the end though it's hard for us to feel like we got even close to our money's worth. We were thinking about trying Ohana next trip because again the type of food there interested us but when I saw it was another place that was $40+ a person I started rethinking our plan to go there.

Just looking to see what buffets/all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurants people might find personally worth it to them. So far the only one my wife and I feel is always worth it is Biergarten. We love the food and the show and it's "reasonably" priced for lunch.

The prices at breakfast are usually a lot cheaper than lunch & dinner prices at these types of places. I was on the dining plan so Im not sure of the costs, but I feel like I got my "moneys worth" doing a late breakfast/brunch at 1900 Park Fare and at Garden Grill. Excellent quality food and great variety. Characters were also great at each. I also saw that the breakfast price at Boma was $28 as opposed to over $40 for dinner, so if you like to eat on the early side, that may be well worth it

Cape May Cafe dinner and Whispering Canyon's skillet. I used to include 'Ohana, but it's not really such a great deal anymore.

Boma is still worth it to me at $40-45 - $50 would be pushing it but it's pretty unique.

I also like Biergarten for lunch (I like having my big meal for lunch.)

I have also had good experiences with the seafood buffet at the Swan (but I've heard mixed reviews.)

@chalee94 I was just going to recommend the Seafood Sensation buffet at the Garden Grove.

We ate there about 2 weeks and the food was outstanding. The AYCE crab legs were excellent—big, meaty and easy to clean. Loved them. Our desserts were off the hook.

I think it’s def a hidden gem. With it not being on the Disney Dining Plan, it doesn’t get much buzz, but if you have a AAA membership, it’s only $31.99 per adult for dinner.

Boma has food choices that you are not going to find anywhere else. 100 Park Fare for dinner has some of the best character interaction at Disney. Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters are hysterical. Crystal Palace for breakfast. My family keeps asking to go back to the seafood buffet at Cape May. Never been to Auskerhaus so I can't comment there. Liberty Tree Tavern is not a buffet but Family Style. The food decent though and you get to meet other people. We have always found Chef Mickey's to be way to hectic and Chaotic.

The Disney buffets are all pricy, I don’t do them often but there are only 3 that tug at my purse strings:

Boma-the variety of soups, salads, dressings and African spiced fare, keep me going. Let’s be honest, there’s no ambiance at all, but every once in a while I gotta have it.

Biergarten-What can I say, we love German food and beer. The entertainment is fun and the food selection is legit.

Tusker House Character Breakfast buffet-we are thankfully past those days but if we travel with little kids, this is one I still enjoy, Boma inspired. Though I’m not much of a breakfast person, can’t do Rockin Roller Coaster if I’ve had more than water, but I can do this buffet and hop onto the Safari, then the Rapids and move on with my day.

Biergarten for lunch

Boma breakfast and dinner are so good and a good value for Disney!

Trail's End dinner!

Trails End! Hubby and I had breakfast there in Feb and now we are booked to try brunch in Sept. It's a nice boat ride over from MK and go explore WL if you've never been, its a beautiful resort.

My vote would be for HDDR. Great food, fried chicken, BBQ ribs with all of the side dishes and strawberry shortcake. The show is corny, but entertaining, even for adults. Pricy at $72 pp.

Also like the skillet at Whispering Canyon.

Tusker House lunch or dinner. The food is interesting and good, with a variety even for my vegetarian self.

Brunch at The Wave.
