Just wondering which brand of jeans you all like, and find to be generous in sizing?? More curiosity..... but I was shopping this afternoon and tried on some Tommy jeans (I'm too cheap for them, but these were on sale at Lazarus of 19.99!) and I was surprised that the size I'm wearing fit so well. Usually I can't get the "trendy" jeans past my hips! I felt a little too cool for myself!

Funny how I put back on my Gloria V. that are a size bigger and fit almost the same (they are stretch jeans and Mom swears those always run small :))

I know you all mentioned Old Navy once as being a good fit - any other opinions??

oh and by the way, before you say it, even though I've lost 8 lbs since Jan., my hip measurements haven't changed yet! shoot! darn! I'm hoping that's where the next five lbs will melt from :)

I can tell you that Old Navy is cut genours. I work for GAP for several years(O.N. and GAP are sisters along with Banana Republic).

The reason that the GV jeans probaly fit and are a size bigger is because they are "women" cut meaning that they sit up high on the hips...where as the Tommy Jeans are probably still a "woman" jean, but they are cut a little wider now because the style has changed and they should be worn a little lower on the hips.

So in summary....(lol)...if you are wearing "more stylish" jeans ie..tommy, mudd, lei...etc...then you might be able to wear them a size smaller if you wear the one for your hips on your waist...

Hope this makes sense

I LOVE the GV stretch jeans! That's all I wear. They are sooo comfy! I usually pick them up on sale at JC Penny when they are on sale for $19.99. If you have never seen them before, they look and feel just like regular jeans only they do this amazing stretching thing! They baffle my husband. So when you think stretch jeans, don't picture elastic waist and polyester that looks like denim! LOL

ohMom...

My favorite Jeans are the Gap Reverse Fit jeans. They used to have them in the stores, but now I believe they are only online. They were the only jeans where I could grab my size, try them out, and pay and leave. Any other brand of jean meant trying various sizes and cuts and finally leaving with either nothing, or a pair of jeans to get by with until I found better ones.

I've also recently bought a pair of Lands' End jeans that are VERY VERY comfortable (can't remember the specific cut though)

HTH!

I'll have to remember this thread for later, right now Just my size is the only generous jeans for me!;)

I'm pretty sure that Lee's Relaxed Fit is generous! I got some on sale in Sears last month ($9.99 a pair, thank you very much! Gotta love 50% off clearance prices!) and they fit me even when they come out of the dryer.

I love Lee Relaxed fit!!!! I used to buy them at a store that went out of business then I didn't know where to look for them. Thanks FergieTCat!!

I'll have to look at Sears!

I like the Just My Size stretch jeans I can get at wal-mart.

I wear Gap Loose fit jeans, which I really like. :)

I buy Levi's 550 jeans and the new style i started wearing is the hipster straight leg jeans but i don't remeber the # on those. I just wore them for the first time Monday they 14's!!!! The other jeans i love are the Tommy classic cut jeans. I just took pictures of all my 20's and 18's to put them up for sale on ebay! Trying to have a little something to put toward new sizes! WISH me luck.LOL

Woo hoo! Tammy! Size 14? You are doing so well.

I will have to look for the GV stretch jeans.

I like the Cherokee jeans from Target - they are (at full price) $20 and have some give so they are comfy. I get them on sale now and then for $15 or less!
