which beach should i visit?

At The end of Oct me and my boyfriend are staying at the french quarter in disney for a week. He has never been to florida and i would like to take him to the beach if possible. I was wondering cocoa beach or daytona beach?? we will be probably just renting the car for the day do to the under age surcharge fees being high. Any ideas, also which one is closer to disney or are they about the same??

My vote is for Daytona Beach

It is beautiful, you can drive on part of it, if you want, you can park your car on the beach and then go for a swim.

Its about an hour drive from Orlando ( we usually do it in 45 min.) Straight on I 4 to 92 to the beach. Cant get any easier then that.

Cocoa is also a great beach. Very easy from the airport to the beach. You just take 528. Takes about 45 mins.

We spent a few days at Cocoa Beach after our Disney trip and had a blast. The advantage of Cocoa over Daytona is that you could also visit Kennedy Space Center, which is well worth the trip, especially if there is a launch scheduled for that time.

Take the hour and half drive west to Clearwater Beach - Gulf Coast. It is by far much more beautiful than any on the east coast, especially Daytona. Honest, the white sands and beauty far surpass. I've been to both coast many times and would bet you a weeks pay that you would be much happier with your first beach visit on the west coast!!!!!!!
