Which beach have you been too? Would you go back there next time?

We think that we'll just try to relax on the beach, but have never been to either Grand Cayman or Cozumel, so don't know which beach is good. I've heard of 7-mile beach, Mr Sanchos and Chankanaab Park, but would like to know how people liked (or disliked) each beach.
Also, do they have bathrooms? Should we bring food in a small cooler? Or are resturants close by? Do we have to worry about drinking water, or certain foods? (I've never been out of the US, but I have heard terrible stories; bad water, and stomach problems).

Thank you for any ideas !!!

Last time I was in Cozumel (15 years ago) Chankanaab was nice. You could swim in the lagoon with the fishies then, but I'm not sure if you can now.

I have a sister-in-law with relatives from Grand Cayman, and she once said it was nice at Rum Point.

I would like to hear too!

My family and friends spent a wonderful day at Mr. Sanchos on Cozumel in February. It is beautiful and clean. The food was very good and the service excellent. There were some shops and rentals for jetskis, ATV's and a water trampoline. They had a pool for the little ones too. We will definitely visit there again on our next cuise.

On Grand Cayman we did the Stingray City snorkel tour and then spent the rest of the day on Seven Mile Beach near the Holiday Inn. This was a beautiful beach too. There are public access entry areas to the beach every few blocks. So, don't pay a hotel for access. You can easily walk to any of the hotels for food/drinks. That's what we did.

Hope this is helpful.

Our families favorite beach was Mister Sanchos. Channakaab State park has good snorkling, the dolphin swim and costs $10 per person to enter. San Fransico beach I was told is also very beautiful. It is larger that Mister Sanchos. Mister Sanchos and San Francisco beach are free, no admission charge. Mister Sanchos has good food and the local beer is good. I had a Margaritta also. We really enjoyed Mister Sanchos. Go to their website MisterSanchos.com. Grand Cayman: 7 mile beach is on the strip with all the hotels. It looks quite nice. Rum Point is off the beaten path and I was told it is picture perfect. We traveled with a group and we all went to different locations. Members of our party scuba dived in Grand Cayman and Cozumel and had a fantastic experience. We also went to Stingray City. Many places advertise swimming with stinrays, but they are in a pool. At Stingray City you take a boat at to a sandbar. It was very good fund. The pubic beach at key west looked nice with picnic tables and a short walk to the water. Some high palm trees. Not too far from the pier.

In Cozumel we did Playa Sol.Except for the Taxi ride from Hell we had a great time.It is a little more commercialized( you have to walk through shops to get to the beach area but it is wel maintained.I know Disney does its own excursion there with beach activities. Although we did this on our own everyone looked like they were having fun.
I wish I was there now.:bounce: :Pinkbounc
