I'm trying to sort our next holiday and would like to fly direct to Orlando. Can anyone tell me which airlines do this ?

Thanks,

Tony

Of the scheduled airlines, to the best of my knowledge only Virgin (Continental on a codeshare) and BA. I think most US carriers for through a US gateway. We always go non direct becuse DH has had a stroke, so our doctor suggested two flights with a short break in between might help. Usually no cheaper though! (mind you we have seen lots of US airports!!!):p I think some charters fly direct into Sanford but I don't have experience of them. HTH

Most charters, with the exception of one or two fly to Sanford direct, including Airtours - or MyTravel as they are now known.

Do you have a preference to fly to MCO or SFB?
Check out the Sanford Airport Website to see what charter carriers fly there. Sanford Airport

The US airlines always have a stop - we're doing United next time and are stopping in Chicago!!!

BA and Virgin, sometimes Continental but they are code share partners with Virgin, so you usually find yourself on a Virgin flight if it's Continental direct. This seems to be out of LGW rather than LHR in my experience. Don't know about other airports.

Most US carriers do indeed go through their main US hub.

If you go to somewhere like Opodo or Expedia and put in your dates and choose 'direct flights only' you'll soon discover your options. If your dates a later than 11 months or so from now just make up some dates to see what's available.

No-one flies direct from Heathrow to MCO - the only airlines to my knowledge to fly from LHR with one stop are United (via Washington or Chicago), American (via Boston or New York and sometimes Miami) or Icelandair (via Reykjavik!).

Generally I've found these flights to be about £100 cheaper pp than the BA and Virgin direct ones - can't tell you why though!

Cheaper options from Gatwick if you don't mind one stop are Delta (via Atlanta and occasionally Cincinnati), Continental (via Newark) and US Airlines (via Philadelphia and Charlotte). American and Northwest also go from Gatwick but these flights get into MCO at sometime stupid like 23:30.

Virgin Atlantic fly direct to Orlando International from Gatwick and Manchester.
Don't think the Manchester flights run all year though, just May (when we are going!) through to November, I believe there are plans for an all year round service though.
