Our booking window is coming up for our late May Alaska cruise. I hope to book the following:
In no particular order:
- Skagway train excursion
- Glacier boat tour on Glacier viewing day
- Wine tasting
- Mixology
- Palo brunch

What will be hardest to get? Should I book right at midnight when booking window opens? App or browser?
We are Gold but haven’t reserved anything in advance on our prior cruises.
TIA!

Definitely the boat on glacier viewing day. I won't be doing my first Alaska cruise until June. However, everything I have seen and read says that excursion often sells out with Platinum and concierge. Mixology seems to be hard lately, but maybe my last cruise to the Southern Caribbean tainted my view. Those cruises are filthy with Platinum and Gold, and I am only Silver :rotfl2: Palo brunch is always hard to get. It will be even harder on the Wonder, since it doesn't have a Remy to take up some slack. I would ask around on the social media group for your cruise. Platinum and Gold often mention what was sold out, especially if you ask about a specific thing. Good luck!

Are you on the May 29 sailing? We have a good group going on Facebook!

That being said, yes for the glacier boat you definitely want to book right at midnight as soon as you are able. I think the train is a bit easier?

I would comment that the train excursion is something you could book now outside of Disney if you’re comfortable with that (it’s not like Disney operates their own train - I think that’s probably the safest excursion to book third party, even if you generally prefer not to. We’re doing all of our port excursions third party 🤷‍♀️). But yes I would agree with others, the glacier day boat is probably what you’d want to try for first if that’s important to you.

Totally will look into it, thank you!

Also I will mention that on our sailing there are quite a few rooms still showing available, I'd say about 80? So if you get to book soon you might get more lucky, it's not close to sold out yet.

I think there are quite a few rooms available on our sailing too - they are offering the GT rates in each category. It was cheaper than when I had this cruise booked for 2021!
I hope this means we are not full, though I fully expect the ship to fill up with these rates.

That's what I think as well, will be close to full by sail date. I'm annoyed I booked a vacation so far in advance because it's so long to wait! A lot of people book more last minute. I'm still trying to convince a handful of friends to join us.

I haven't used these guys, but people in my cruise group suggested them. I have booked an excursion with them though. Alaska Shore Excursions (https://alaskashoreexcursions.com/) has some train excursions, as well as many others. They seem to have a pretty flexible cancellation policy too.

Hopefully they will join you! That would be so awesome, to sail with friends!
I’m sure you’ll enjoy the cruise regardless! Really not that long to wait now. I’m actually kind of panicking lol.
