Where'd the good rock go?

It seems to me as if most singers today want that "pop" sounding voice...or that "whiny" voice, whatever floats your boat lol.

But I was wondering, there aren't many people today (at least those who get a decent record deal) with that good ol' rock voice. You know...voices like Axl Rose, Bret Michaels, Vince Neil, etc. And then you don't get that good ol' rock sound as far as instruments are concerned.

Where'd the rock go? lol. (that's rhetorical by the way lol)

How many of you guys think people image "good" music as having that "pop" voice? How many of you guys think that rock and roll should be revived? (this isn't rhetorical by the way lol)

Anyway I would like rock to be revived. Real Rock! Not ppl yelling about commiting suicide. Because that is basically what "rock" is right now.

Oh okay. I really don't like FOB. Or HH. But around here they call it alternative not emo. If I am thinking of what you are thinking.

Cos I've NEVER heard of Aero Speedwagon, google comes up with nothign.
I like the song Take It On The Run by them.

I think the word rock exists only in the past, the only music I listen to that any of you that would really classify as rock would be my father's music that he listens to.

Today, yes all there is is whining. But I don't let myself listen to that, I enjoy stuff like John Mayer and Rex Goudie, who play the guitar and sing. Whiley they've got a band behind them, they are mostly solo acts. I like to keep myself with simple music.

Just distance yourself from AAR, SP, FOB and GC and you'll be fine. Seriously the new GC song made me want to vomit.

Well I guess I like the whiney stuff then. If you are going to put AAR in that category. And I am not ashamed to say it, I think they're good and I am not going to apologize for it.


As for me, most the time I think I belong somewhere in 20's - 50's...Cuz I'm classic like that.
