I am deciding between a few hotels. If you've stayed at any of these, which would you pick and why? If it helps we are taking our baby who will be about 9 months old so we will have a stroller.

Candy Cane Inn
Anabella
Portofino Inn & Suites
Embassy Suites South
Clarion
Hilton

Off your list, I think the Candy Cane Inn is the most convienient. It's the closest, and on the same side as the entrance. The walk is 10 minutes tops. Also the exclusive shuttle rocks! It runs every 30 minutes. The free breakfast is so-so, but again its FREE. It is just a fancy motel, but it's nice and clean. I'd definetly stay again.

off your list cci.
I have heard good things about it. Hojos is also nice as is desert inn or camolot inn those are the three i recomand from reading others reviews.
Desert inn is the closest.
Camolot was nice saw fireworks from room 404 and was only a few hotles down from desert inn. Hojos is at the end of the harbor about 8min walk to dl and has some good rates 74/59 for ent rate)

I know this is not on your list but the Park Vue Inn is right across the street. It was clean, the staff was pleasant and the room big enough for two and a baby.

ETA: If you go up to the little patio on the second floor you can enjoy the evening fireworks display. We got an ice cream from the Cold Stone Creamery that was on the grounds and relaxed wit several families and watched the opening say of the Halloween Fireworks Display.

Fairfield Inn is nice as well and it is within walking distance. we did it last year with DD and we had to carry her back to the hotel after closing the park.

Desert Inn is great cuz it is close to all the new shops at the new Gardenwalk. (I think thats what its called). Theres a McCormick and Schmicks and a Bubba Gump there too. And Hotel Menage is nice.

We stayed at Portofino for my DD's 6th bday in January.

In the family suite we had:
Birthday girl
Me & my dh
My mom
and my mil

My sister lives local and spend some time with us when we were avoiding the rain. Numerous games of UNO.

We are good about sharing space and keeping the room tidy.

I am looking at going back there for our next trip.
the staff was attentive to our needs.
The mini mart is close by.
The pool was heated in january.
the ART shuttle was a lifesaver.

Have a great trip

I have only stayed at the Candy Cane Inn out of the hotels you mentioned. I loved it there, from what I remember. It was clean and comfortable. There was a shuttle that went to DL, but I've also heard of people walking. There was a 7-11 in walking distance, which was convenient. If I ever had to stay off property, I would probably choose the CCi.

A friend of mine, who travels to Disney almost annually, prefers to stay at the Embassy Suites South. She uses the shuttle, and particularly likes the made to order breakfast that is included. I know all Embassy Suites have huge rooms, since they are all suites. They typically have two televisions as well.

We usually stay at the Hilton and love it! The beds are comfortable, everything is clean and the staff is great!:thumbsup2
