Where would YOU stay overnight from NJ to WDW (on I-95)??

When we drove several years ago, we stopped in Kingsland, GA and stayed at the Country Inn and Suites.

I used the wdwinfo (the home site for the DIS) which show alls the exits on I-95 with the hotels, restaurants and gas stations. Very helpful!!

We always stay at the Hampton Inn in Darien, Georgia (about 20 miles further south from Savannah). We use our Hilton Honors points.

NOTE to all you NJ drivers headed to WDW:

DO NOT STAY AT THE ECONOLODGE in Kenly, NC..... YIKES!!
Ok - you got this fellow Jerseyan curious! What was so horrible?? Did you stay there? What did you pay? How did you chose the place? I can only imagine! :scratchin

When I drive from NJ, I stay at the Hampton Inn in Richmond Hill, Georgia, at Exit 87. Nice hotel with those super soft white fluffy beds! :cloud9: I think it tends to cost more than these other hotels in the $40 dollar range that we always see (I usually pay with tax somewhere between 80-90 dollars a night at the Hampton), but I feel safe and the hotel is clean and nice, so it's worth it to me! :)

We stayed one time in the Hampton Inn Savannah. It was a nice hotel with a nice breakfast. This trip, we are leaving at midnight and driving straight through. I hope we all have traffic problem free trips!

My daughter and her family recently got back and stayed, coming and going, at a Hampton Inn. I'll find out which later. She also commented on the fabulous beds! Also said the place was very nice. :)
