Where would you go? What would you do/eat?

Taking hubby on a surprise Disney trip in March. We'll be there 3 days, but I only plan to spend one day in the parks. This will be our first trip to WDW without his nephews, so I thought it would be nice to see some of the Disney sites we haven't experienced previously (ie Pleasure Island :sunny: ). So, my question is...If you had just three days to make a truly memorable experience for your loved one at Disney, where would you go? Where would you eat? Any MUST SEE romantic ideas? Thanks in advance!

Boma is always a must-do for us, but it depends on your tastes. If you aren't adventurous, it might not be for you. Still, we enjoy walking around AKL. It is also worthwhile to eat at one of the monorail resorts, maybe while the fireworks are going on at the MK (with a view, of course) -so long as that won't drive you crazy to be so close. After dinner, take a boat ride across the lake -but again, only if it won't drive you crazy to be so close.
If you aren't going to the parks every day, consider eating off property. There are a number of cool eateries in the Orlando area, and it might save some money. There is a great off-site eatery thread (though it is more geared towards budget dining). .

On the fancy end, ther were great looking romantic places to eat at the Marriott World Center. Riding the elevator there was romantic.
Otherwise...I might splurge at the GF (but NOT 1900 Park Fare). One of the best meals we ever had though - sans kids - was then character dinner at LTT. The food wasn't that thrilling for us, but the characters really took some time with us. WE started off ignoring them...but then it became very romantic when they interacted with us. Laughter can be very romantic. So you never know...Also, in the MK, be sure to ride the TTA at night.

Me and DH are going to DW as a couple in January and the idea that I get to choose WHERE we want to eat is really alot of fun.

We are going to places my kids may not fully enjoy, as for romance, well just being together makes it a romantic place...

We opted for Spoodles, Le cellier, Wolfgang Puck café among others.

If it were my hubby I know he would enjoy hanging out around the Boardwalk area and dinner at Yachtman's Steakhouse. Have a great trip! :wizard:

When we go back without the kids, I've always wanted to treat DH to some of those rare Disney things a lot of people forget about. You could do the Richard Petty Speedway experience for him, or parasailing. I'd definately do the Epcot segway tour- seems so cool as you can't do that anywhere else that I know of. For the romance factor, how about a couples massage at the GF spa? Shula's Steakhouse (a national top 10!) was DH's favorite meal and no kids are there! Le Cellier was a close second though. For fun, our favorite meal was at 50's Prime Time. HTH...

When DW and I go sometime in '07 without the kids she has already said she wants to eat most meals in Epcot. Great resturaunts there. The only one I really want to go to that we haven't yet is Biergarten in Germany. Also the menu at Chefs de France looks real good.

For the truly romantic, I guess Victoria & Albert's is the hands-down winner. The catch? If you spend a day at the parks, chances are good you're not dressed right for V&A. Personally, I think California Grille is plenty romantic, if you get the right table. I like the ones around the back, overlooking the lake...if you time it right, you can see the water pageant. AND, you can go around to the observation deck to see Wishes. AND, although they do have a dress code now (no torn jeans, shorts, flipflops), it's much easier to dress for both the parks and CG than for the parks and V&A(jackets required).

And actually you can wear "dress shorts" at the California Grill, making it an even better choice.
