I met my Chicago friend in Louisville, KY for the weekend. Among other things....we visited the most AMAZING cemetery ever!!! I took lots of pictures. will post some favorites tomorrow.

Hi Mo,

Just wanted to say, the only criticism I heard for the Monsters U movie, was that it didn't need to be in 3D. Not used much. Other than that DD(22) loved it.

Cave Hill...it was so beautiful!!!

As soo as I read Oopsi's post about visiting a beautiful cemetery I thought....she MUST be talking about Cave Hill. I was about to ask, but all I had to do was keep reading!

We LOVE Cave Hill Cemetery. When Caden was little, my grandma and I used to go to the cemetery and walk through...it was so peaceful and quiet. Sometimes we would just go sit by one of the ponds and watch the ducks. It is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL place...and HUGE! I've gotten lost in there before!

always hard to catch up.. you have an excuse! i can't wait to see pictures!!!

My mom is native Louisvillian and we have 3 different family plots in Cave Hill on her side of the family. My Dad is buried there, right around the corner from Col. Sanders (Of KFC) I grew up feeding the ducks at the ponds.

Yesterday??? Ya know what i did??? I actually cleaned the house!!! ran to walmart (still dislike this store) came home and HOPPED IN THE POOL!!!

YES I Relaxed!!! then the thunder boomed. we got out of the pool, showered made dinner and watched the great and wonderful Oz!!! I love that movie! YES I RELAXED!!! I feel so good today!
Tonight i will be missing the boys game tonight to go to my Boss's retirement party. I am off tomorrow. If the rain holds off i hope to take the kids to the zoo. If it rains we will be going to see Monsters U!!! those of you who went it: should i go to the 3-D or normal?!?!

I have been savoring the menus on the internet trying to figure out where we want to eat in a year and couple of months... which only made me hungry.
I just don't know...

My kids don't like the 3D movies. I think Curtis doesn't like to deal with the glasses on top of his glasses. Sometimes they comment that a movie did not need to be 3D but we have not seen monsters inc yet. I think the movie companies just know they will get more money for 3D.

Glad you got a chance to relax over the weekend. Yeah for Meg being in 1st place and congrats to the boys on their win.

So many fun places to eat in WDW. I usually start with which park and go from there. We sometimes eat at a monorail resort on a MK day or hit a different resort on our AK day, that is usually a short day for us. We usually do Askershus for a late breakfast on an Epcot day (my dad's favorite and one of our only breakfasts) and a table service lunch in MK on a day I plan for fireworks watching. Note: we always seem to go during MNSSHP or MVMCP so we have to plan our MK fireworks nights for the days they don't have the party.

Your three make the perfect Star Wars group picture. Love it.

I know that sounds corny BUT IT REALLY IS! my friends are STILL amazed that I-Mo am a Disney fan as much as i am... that first time with my family and i was HOOKED!!! There is never enough time to plan these trips there is WAY too much to DO there!

Totally agree! We all love to help first timers. I think my friends get pretty sick of me sometimes because I just love to talk Disney. Mo said it perfectly....It is just so magical. My biggest piece of advise for first timers is: Don't try to see it all. You WILL be back. Take plenty of time to just soak up the magic. It's all in the details.

You said it So I know you can't pool hop at the resorts but can you have guests? If I stay at POR and a friend stays at AoA, can we swim with each other on our down days?

I don't know for sure about this....I was wondering the same thing. I think it mostly depends on how busy it is. I have heard they sometimes ask for your room key to prove you are staying there and give out bracelets. But I've never seen this. Plus, I would think as long as you are at the "quiet pool" vs the feature pool they wouldn't even look. I know at AoA, the gates are all around the Nemo pool and you have to have a room key to get in, but if your friends are staying there, they will have a room key.

Probably the proper answer would be NO. No pool hopping allowed. But again....I just think it depends on how busy it is and the size of the pool. At the Poly...the pool is very small for the size of the resort. So it gets crowded easily. If you spent all that money to stay at the Poly and the pool was full of pool hoppers who are staying at a value resort....would you be happy?? Just think of other people...use your own judgement.

I think the pool hopping is primarily of concern with the deluxe resorts, but that's just my take. I know at Storm Along Bay at the Beach Club you have to have a room key to get in. I agree with Suzi to use your best judgement and when in doubt, ask. All they can say is no.

So, you asked for the gargoyle picture and I'm working on it. Ruthie will tell you I'm not the most tech savy in the group! I married an IT guy and it's made me lazy to learn since it's just so much easier to have him do it. Yep, I'm co-dependent!
