Yikes! And I thought my life was hectic

Oh, look...I found a driving smiley guy He isn't in a very bad mood though, maybe he is for after you crashed into the mega witch?? Yep, looks like he is putting it in reverse to run her little Corolla over.

DUFFY! I just love him. When I first saw him, I thought it was just weird that Disney would make up some totally new character when they already have so many wonderful ones. But I really love the story that goes with Duffy and he is just so soft and cuddly.

Guess what... It's almost time for our trip! I started packing tonight. First I got out my little carry on and tried to fit 4 days worth of clothes, shoes and gifts in there. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! So I went downstairs and settled myself in for a fight with Southwest. But the lady I got on the phone was super super nice and really put my mind at ease. The email I had gotten earlier was not very clear and said that they did not have to let me check my luggage through to MSP. That it was up to the check in agent....well super, what am I supposed to do. But this lovely lady, Lillian, said that they had just recently changed their policy to specifically allow this. I think it has to do with them merging with Airtran. This way people who booked one leg with Airtran and one with SW will just get their luggage checked once. So much easier and it makes me super happy! Away I go to pack more

So, how warm is it out there?? This time of year in Maine we have to plan for all temps. It was 33 the other night, but up to almost 80 right now. Maine....a beautiful state where you can get frost bite and heat stroke all in one day

This hotel has a pretty nice pool....you bringing a bathing suit?? I might need a few drinks before I can be talked into mine, but I will bring it just in case.

Maybe some day I will catch up on Mo's post... but for now...

Super glad you got the flights figured out - I know it was a HUGE concern!

Our temps are pretty close to yours... We've been swinging any where from 60's to 100's... overnights still dip into the 40's... but we probably won't be spending too much time outside during the night... D~ can't keep her eyes open past 9pm on most nights...

I am bringing my suit... No guarantees that I will wear it... Especially if Mo has her camera out...

i love you guys....

it was one crazy weekend that's for sure.. i stayed home today because my knee was killing me. i thought i had posted this?!?! clearly i did not..
while waking up and reading my favorite morning posts i look over:


so i took a me day. started packing for MOA. which of course turns out cleaning out closest and drawers..
1. i have a lot of black pants/shorts
2. i cannot believe the amount of weight i have gained because of this stupid thyroid.. i cannot wait to be back on my normal dosage. NONE of my tee shirts fit from last year. thankfully i was texting with my com padres and made me feel a bit better. still...

So i text the evil sister ask her i am more then determined then ever to get rid of the spare tire around my waist unfortunately its more of tractor tire!!!
so off i go!!!

Well... Personally - I booked through my TA because she is super wonderful! She has given me tons of good advice over the years. I did not book with her last year, but this year - I figured I had nothing to lose... My biggest issue is that I was paying for the entire trip with Disney GCs... Since I knew this in andvace and so did she - I dont' think it's been a problem. She also let me make all of my own ADRs... Which is super awesome, because it really makes me feel like I am in control. She went WAAAAY ABOVE AND BEYOND trying as often as she could to get us POFQ with the military rate... and it took her a bit - but she did it and the girls and I couldn't be happier.

I love, love, love my TA, and I will never book with anyone else again - she is just stellar!

When i spoke with the CM for this vacation i found out when canceling they upgraded our room for the kids birthday. If a TA had done the reservation would i get the same perks?!?
Do TA's get more discounts the the regular Joe?!?

No, it does not... It costs ME the exact same. The only difference is that DISNEY pays her when my trip is completed... Not sure how much she gets from my trip - I think it's a percentage - want to say it's 10%. There is absolutely NO difference at all to my cost at all. And - I get pretty good discounts through my job, so not only do I get my discounts, but a good TA also gets a perk from my trip... Honestly - I felt it was fair... She was more than willing to give me FREE advice before I booked with her - and not one ounce of pressure to book through her... I felt much better that if I booked with her - she would at least get paid something for helping me out.

So, when I log in to Disney online, all of my reservations show up as if I had booked everything myself. The only difference between me booking and her booking, is instead of my calling Disney - I call her. She is super nice... and with all the changes going on with MDE and Disney in general right now - I am really thankful to have her guiding me through this... Not to mention the HOURS she has had to sit on hold while the whole transition was going on... It has been an amazing experience - and to be quite honest, I am not sure I will ever book through anyone else again...

ETA: I have to say that my TA does specialize in Disney trips - where some other TAs are more broad spectrum... Because she knows Disney inside and out - that has been a HUGE benefit to me. Not to mention - she is pretty much as obsessive about her trips as I am about mine - so she understands my NEED to plan them.
